'It feels like it was the most beautiful, beloved dog that was buried, and now we've exhumed it, and I am here for it,' Waddingham told the outlet. 'I was hankering and hankering and hankering and hankering to see where Rebecca had gone, where she was going to. She's my girl. She's in my bloodstream, so I'm thrilled that it's been exhumed.' Waddingham continued, 'I can't wait to get involved with that and put my penneth in and go shopping for her looks.' 'In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it's exactly where they're meant to be,' Sudeikis said in a statement. Originally created by NBC Sports to help promote English Premier League soccer back in 2013, Sudeikis told Postmedia that he wanted to give Ted his own spinoff because he loved the character's 'optimism and enthusiasm.' Ted Lasso became a TV hit for Apple when it launched in 2020 and won 13 Emmys, including outstanding comedy series for its first two seasons. Season 3 of Ted Lasso was supposed to be the dramedy's last, but after pleas from its devoted fanbase, Warner Bros. Television and Apple confirmed the series would continue as it picked up options on several of Sudeikis' co-stars, including Waddingham, Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins). This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. When it returns, the show will reportedly find Ted coaching a women's soccer team. 'Ted went through some highs and lows in that first commercial,' Sudeikis said, reflecting on the character's genesis in a 2020 interview . 'But the series became something we felt we could do after doing the second commercial. We had a mix of childlike enthusiasm and unwavering optimism that I always felt, as they say in show business, gave it legs.' Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham in a scene from Apple's 'Ted Lasso.' Photo by Colin Hutton / Apple TV+ But after the first season proved to be one of the most-talked about shows of the year, Sudeikis couldn't quite answer why so many people fell in love with Ted when we spoke the following year. 'I wish I knew. I'd like to think that some of the things we had creative control over, like making intentional choices with the way we told the story and hiring really great people in front of and behind the camera had something to do with it. I think it was the right amount of alchemy between those elements and old-fashioned good luck,' he said . mdaniell@ Read More Celebrity Toronto & GTA Toronto & GTA Editorial Cartoons Columnists

Fashion Killa Cuties! Rihanna Makes Red Carpet Debut With Both Sons, RZA & Riot, At ‘Smurfs' LA Premiere

Proud mama Rihanna made a first-ever red carpet appearance with both sons, RZA and Riot, at the L.A. Smurfs movie premiere. Source: Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / Getty The singer was absolutely glowing with her red carpet cuties by her side, and she got them a special introduction with Papa Smurf himself. We love to see Rihanna in mommy mode, and there's no better example than strutting her stuff for the cameras with her adorable offspring. Source: Paramount Pictures / Paramount Pictures The Bajan baddie's baby bump was beautifully on display in a dark brown flowing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello skirt and lacy camisole with a matching leather jacket. She wore her hair in an elegant updo. RZA, 3, wore dark green cargo pants and a blush collared shirt with a matching tiny necktie. Riot, 1, rocked white cargo shorts, a white collared shirt, and a bowtie with a grey blazer. As one fan noted online, their fly fits were giving Dior drama 'Fresh Off The Runway.' The best-dressed babies looked surprisingly calm despite all the flashing cameras surrounding them. Yet, both boys did seem to get a little star-struck when it was time to meet Papa Smurf and their mom's alter ego, Smurfette. Source: Paramount Pictures / Paramount Pictures During an interview with Variety , Rihanna joked that if her boo, A$AP Rocky, joins the next sequel, he would be 'Freestyle Smurf' or 'Fashion Smurf.' When asked about putting out new music besides her new movie's soundtrack, the Savage X Fenty founder called herself 'Uh Oh Smurf.' It's no surprise considering no upcoming release is more exciting or demanding than her bun in the oven. For now, Rihanna is busy enjoying her growing family with Rocky and being part of one of her favorite franchises. It's perfect timing for the Bad Gal to put out something for the kids, but the Smurfs lover had her own 'selfish' reasons for taking the role. Source: Paramount Pictures / Paramount Pictures 'This is not just for the kids. I'm going to be a little selfish on this one because I'm a superfan of the Smurfs. I've always been a fan. I'm really excited for a new generation of Smurfs fans,' she said. This fun-loving and iconic moment comes just days after Rihanna attended her father's funeral back home in Barbados. On May 30, Ronald Fenty passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 70. Paparazzi spotted the 'Lift Me Up' star visiting him in his last days at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Source: Paramount Pictures / Paramount Pictures She opened up to ET about Ronald's passing and how she hopes his legacy lives on with RZA and Riot. 'I've always dreamed of what type of grandfather he would be to [RZA and Riot] because of the favourite parts of my dad. I think it prepared me for having two boys. The adventurous side of me, the outside side of me, the daredevil. It's how I want to raise them. I want them to be outside and be in nature. No tablet babies,' she said, recalling her father's influence on her most fun and free childhood memories. Source: Paramount Pictures / Paramount Pictures We love to see Rihanna happy, surrounded by the love of her children, and living her Smurfiest life. The Smurfs movie will hit theaters July 18. John Goodman shows off 200-pound weight loss at Smurfs premiere

John Goodman has flaunted his figure at the Smurfs movie premiere after losing 200 pounds in recent years. The Roseanne actor, 73, attended the Los Angeles premiere of his new Smurfs movie Sunday, wearing a navy blue suit complete with a white-collared shirt, patterned tie, and brown dress shoes. Goodman, who voices Papa Smurf in the upcoming film, flashed a huge grin at photographers. Weighing nearly 400 pounds at his heaviest, according to the New York Post, Goodman has lost about 200 pounds using various methods. He first flaunted a slimmer look in 2023 on the red carpet at the 62nd Monte-Carlo TV festival. The Conners star first began his weight loss journey in 2007 at 392 pounds and made the decision to stop drinking. Goodman had cut sugar from his diet and exercised six out of seven days of the week with assistance from a health coach (Getty) 'I'd get off of Roseanne every spring. I'd lose 60 pounds every spring [but] I'd gain it back and then some, every year,' he told David Letterman in 2011. 'It's going to be an ongoing process for the rest of my life.' The actor went on to hire a health coach, which led to changes like cutting sugar from his diet and working out six days per week. John Goodman flashed a huge grin at the 'Smurfs' premiere (Getty) In a 2017 interview with ABC, Goodman said he would previously go through periods of weight loss, only to reward himself with 'a six-pack or whatever and just go back to old habits.' 'This time, I wanted to do it slowly,' he said at the time. 'Move, exercise. I'm getting to the age where I can't afford to sit still anymore.' One year later, he revealed in an interview with AARP that he considered the key to his successful weight loss to be 'portion control.' 'I was just shoving everything into my mouth,' he said. 'But I don't want to be an example to anybody when the weight comes thundering back on — when I start eating Crisco out of the can with a spoon and a side of confectioner's sugar.' Goodman's latest red carpet appearance comes a few days after he revealed that he had not spoken to his former on-screen wife, Roseanne Barr, in almost a decade. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in a new interview, Goodman revealed the status of his relationship with Barr when asked if he had connected with her over the end of the Roseanne spin-off, The Connors. 'No. I'd rather doubt if she wants to talk to me,' Goodman said. 'We haven't talked for about seven or eight years.' When asked if the silence between them made it hard to do The Conners, Goodman said: 'No. We got a good cast, and everybody stands out.' Goodman was also asked about working with Barr in those early days of the sitcom, saying: 'We hit it off from jump street. She made me laugh, and I made her laugh, and wow, it was so much fun. We'd get so many viewers for the show back then — 20, 30 million people.' 'Things are so different now, but it was a special time,' he added.

Nick Offerman finds meaning in the "Smurfs'" village: "We require diversity to make a strong community"

Actor Nick Offerman brings his signature deadpan delivery to the animated world as Ken, Papa Smurf's brother, in the upcoming "Smurfs" movie hitting theaters Friday. The "Parks and Recreation" star said he developed his distinctive comedic timing from an early age. "When I was a kid in the Catholic church, they had we do the readings of the gospel," Offerman said. "I learned then that if I gave it some gravitas, the congregation would be moved. But if I turned it up just a little bit, my cousins would laugh ... that was where I discovered deadpan." Offerman recorded his voice work separately from co-star John Goodman, who voices Papa Smurf, due to modern animation practices that became more common after COVID-19. "I was shooting a show in Budapest last year, and so I recorded a bunch of my sessions from a studio in Budapest," he said. "John was recording his from London and New Orleans. Eventually, you hear each other when you start to get all the recordings together." The actor found deeper meaning in the film's central message about community and belonging. "The thing I love the most about it is no-name smurf is on this quest to find out what his place is, trying to find himself," Offerman explained. "The message is that everybody, you know, that we require diversity to make a strong community or family or village of smurfs." He said that self-discovery comes through connection with others rather than isolation. "You don't learn what your special talent is looking at your phone, or looking in the mirror," Offerman said. "You learn from your community. They will tell you what they need from you, and that's how you discover what your power is." "Smurfs" is distributed by Paramount Pictures, which is part of CBS' parent company, Paramount Global. "Smurfs" hits theaters on July 18.
