has been commonly sold in a variety of flavors and it's like a classic soda fountain beverage where the consumers are allowed to choose from any flavor on offer.
Digital media outlet Parade, in January 2025, reported that Diet Cherry Coke, which was launched in 1985 and was discontinued in 2020, is expected to make a return to shelves with a retro packaging in the US during the summer season
A popular social media creator Snack-O-Lator shared a post on Instagram about the cherry diet coke claiming its comeback. The creator's post suggested that the cherry coke is making a comeback better than ever. 'Diet Cherry Coke is returning for a limited time with retro packaging!,' the post read.

According to the Coca Cola website, Diet coke cherry targeted adult consumers and it contained no sugar and no calories. It also does not have any bubbles or effervescence. It has an adult cola taste with a hint of cherry. There is however no confirmation as to when this diet coke will return.
Meanwhile, a Beverage Digest report has revealed that Coca-Cola has managed to retain its first place with a lead and a 19.1% market share, according to El CIERRE Digital.
Sprite, which is Coca Cola's lemon-lime drink, is also on the list surpassing Coca Cola's direct competitor Pepsi. Sprite has a market share of 8.03% whereas Pepsi fell to 7.97%.
