Some teething sticks recalled in January remain for sale, Gerber warns
Companies don't like making massive product recalls. They really don't like reminding everybody about that recall months later. But that's what Gerber Products Company did Friday, concerning January's Snacks for Baby soothe 'n' chew Teething Stick recall.
'We are issuing a second press release about this recall due to recent reports of recalled product still available for sale on some retailer shelves and online,' Gerber said.

Choking incidents, one of which caused an emergency room visit, caused the recall.
This covers all lot codes of Gerber Snacks for Baby soothe 'n' chew Teething Sticks in Strawberry Apple, UPC code No. 0 15000 04618 7, and Banana, UPC code Nos. 0 15000 04608 8 and UPC 0 15000 01015 7. They went to stores in:
Florida, California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky, Texas, Washington, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Vermont and Wisconsin.
Gerber reminds adults who already have the teething sticks not to give them to their babies, but rather return them to the store for a full refund. Don't buy them if you see them on the shelves. Report all problems to a medical professional first.
