Comedian Jason Byrne coming to Wrexham this November

He will perform Head in the Clouds at William Aston Hall on Friday, November 29, as part of a major UK tour. The tour will follow a run at this year's Edinburgh Festival and promises "a night of beautiful, fluffy mayhem" as Mr Byrne returns to the stage with his trademark high-energy style. Mr Byrne said: "I'm beyond excited to take Head in the Clouds on tour. "This show is packed with all the madness and magic my chaotic brain can conjure up. "Get ready for a hilarious storm of nonsense. "See you there." Known for his spontaneous audience interaction and energy, Mr Byrne has built a reputation as an unpredictable and entertaining comic. His career highlights include winning the Sony Radio Gold Award for his Radio 2 show, as well as hosting Jason Byrne's Snaptastic Show on Ireland's TV3 and co-presenting Wild Things on Sky One. He has also appeared on Amazon's Last One Laughing, The Graham Norton Show, Live at the Apollo, The Royal Variety Performance, and The John Bishop Christmas Show. A favourite with audiences in Australia and New Zealand, Mr Byrne has featured on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival galas, The Great Debate, and New Zealand's 7Days. He has also published two memoirs: Adventures of a Wonky Eyed Boy: The Short Arse Years, and Memoirs of a Wonky-eyed Man: The Dad-knows-Best-Years, the latter of which pays tribute to his father and their close relationship. Mr Byrne's live performances have earned widespread critical acclaim. The Times described him as the "outright king of live comedy," while the Evening Standard called him "unmissable." Chortle praised him as "full on, double-up, gasping-foroxygen hilarious," and Metro wrote that his shows deliver "an hour of stand-up so joyous the clinically depressed should get it on prescription."
