Beyoncé heads to Vegas for final shows: Extreme heat, bag policy, Allegiant Stadium tips
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is riding into final stretch of her "Cowboy Carter" tour and is set to deliver two high-powered shows to close out the era. The Grammy-winning singer is headed to Las Vegas for the last stop on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is poised to take the stage at Allegiant Stadium for two nights on July 25 and 26. The Vegas stop comes after Beyoncé delivered four dazzling concerts at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, debuting new stunts and bringing out husband Jay-Z for the first time on a U.S. stop of her tour. During the four-night stint, Bey teased that the ATL crowd was her "loudest" yet. Of course, Beyoncé first kicked off her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with a 39-song set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion and different music genres. Here's what to know as fans head to Allegiant Stadium to witness the final two shows. Logistics: How to get to Allegiant Stadium, when doors open Allegiant Stadium is located at 3333 Al Davis Way in Las Vegas. It is accessible by car, on foot or through public transportation. On the Vegas Strip, the RTC's Deuce bus runs 24/7 and stops every 15 minutes at 57 locations along Las Vegas Boulevard. Fans who prefer to use ride-share options should be picked up and dropped in Lot N — just north of the stadium. Walking to Allegiant Stadium from the Las Vegas Strip is convenient and safe using the Hacienda Bridge. The stadium doors open at 5 p.m. local time. However, fans with VIP packages should check their emails prior to arrival for specific instructions for early entry. The show is set to kick off at 7 p.m., though Beyoncé's actual start time has varied between 7 and 8 p.m. Fans should note the stadium is cashless. Parking information for Allegiant Stadium Parking lots will open at 4 p.m. local time. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking ahead of the show. According to the site, there is no in-and-out access and fans are advised to pay electronically or with a card at the gates. Concertgoers can buy a parking space using the SpotHero app. Official parking spaces were priced around $50. However, there were additional lots starting around $30. Parking rates are subject to change without notice. What's the weather in Vegas? From the United States to Europe, Beyoncé and her fans have braved severe weather conditions, an evacuation, cold temperatures, scorching heat and rainy weather for her concerts. Fans should take note of the weather in their respective cities before putting on their chic cowboy-core attire. In Vegas, fans can expect sweltering temperatures. It's important to stay hydrated before and during the nearly three-hour show. Forecasts expect temperatures to reach 102 degrees Fahrenheit on both July 25 and 26. Bag policy, prohibited items at Allegiant Stadium Fans must follow the NFL clear bag policy at Allegiant Stadium. Guests are allowed to bring bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12-by-6-by-12 inches. This includes clear backpacks, clear fanny packs and clear cinch bags. Attendees are also permitted to bring one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags, but the logo can only be on one side. Additionally, small, non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5-by-6.5 inches, with or without a handle or strap, are allowed. Medical bags or kits are acceptable and will be searched at the gate. Fans with large bags or suitcases may check their bags for a nonrefundable $20 fee per bag, payable via cashless payment. There will be three bag check locations, opening the same time stadium doors open and closing one hour after the event. Any bags not picked up before closing will be transferred to lost and found. Audio or visual recording devices of any size will not be permitted inside the venue. Blackpink Returns to L.A. to Remind Us All Why They're the Biggest Girl Group in the World
K-pop supergroup Blackpink returned to Los Angeles over the weekend, officially kicking off the North American leg of their Deadline world tour. The four-member girl group — comprised of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa — played two sold-out shows at L.A.'s SoFi Stadium on July 12 and July 13, setting a new record as the first girl group to sell out two nights at the stadium. The group's first L.A. shows in nearly two years, the two nights brought over 100,000 fans to the Inglewood-based venue, according to Live Nation. More from The Hollywood Reporter Tears, Spaceships and Nostalgia: How Backstreet Boys "Pushed the Limits" of Las Vegas' Sphere With "Mind-Boggling" Residency Launch THR's 2025 Top Music Lawyers: Nominations Are Now Open Kanye "Ye" West Struggles Through Chaotic, Rain-Soaked Shanghai Concert The L.A. shows were shrewdly tied to Blackpink's first group release in nearly three years with the undeniably catchy and energetic single, 'Jump,' which was released Friday (July 11). The track, which remains in the top spot of Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global Chart, broke YouTube's record for the most-viewed video globally in a single day with 26 million views, according to a release. Night two of the girl group's L.A. run was full of energy, excitement and even a crowd-pleasing surprise in the form of a special guest. Here are some of the highlights from Blackpink's Deadline world tour in L.A. In the time since the chart-topping group last visited L.A., Blackpink has ventured off as individuals, each enjoying increasingly fruitful solo careers. In December 2023, it was announced that the group had renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment; however, it was later announced that all four members decided to part ways with the label for solo activities. Jennie signed with Columbia Records through a partnership with her record label and entertainment company Oddatelier; Lisa and her entertainment company LLOUD signed a partnership deal with RCA Records; Rosé signed a global solo deal with Atlantic Records; while Jisoo signed a global deal with Warner Records. With that in mind, it was hard to envision what a setlist might look like, but Blackpink managed to strike an impressive balance of classic songs, new solo works and a guiding act-structure to the show. The group kicked off the show with perhaps the most quintessential Blackpink track, 'Kill This Love,' later playing other signature songs such as 'DDU-DU DDU-DU,' 'Lovesick Girls,' 'Forever Young' and 'How You Like That.' They also performed their debut songs ('Boombayah' and 'Whistle'), songs from their most recent full release ('Pink Venom' and 'Shut Down') and their latest single 'Jump.' Rosé and Bruno Mars have taken the charts by storm with the Blackpink member's solo release 'Apt.' The single, inspired by a popular Korean drinking game, has spent 37 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100; it currently sits at No. 27, having peaked at No. 3. The singer closed her solo set with 'Apt.' As Rosé finished the first chorus, the crowd already more than engaged in the exuberant performance, fans erupted when Mars was lifted onto the extended stage. The pair — sporting matching racing jackets — looked downright thrilled to perform the song, making it a highlight of the night second only to Blackpink's performance of 'Jump.' There's something to be said for why K-pop groups make for the ideal stadium act. Blackpink, much like other K-pop groups, puts on a show seemingly tailor-made for a stadium with a non-stop, visually exciting nearly three hours of performance. A Blackpink show would be enjoyable in nearly any venue but a stadium with legions of fans, almost all with the group's iconic pink hammer lightstick in hand, adds to the experience ten fold. The girl group is slated to head to Chicago's Soldier Field, Toronto's Rogers Stadium and New York's Citi Field before heading to Paris, Milan, Barcelona and London this year. During act two — each portion broken up by pre-recorded video showing the women of Blackpink driving down a road, through the lights of Las Vegas and more — the group's eldest member, Jisoo, and the youngest, Lisa, performed their solo sets, while Jennie and Rosé performed theirs during act four. Jisoo endeared herself to the crowd with songs like 'Earthquake' and 'Your Love,' the latter featuring a section that found the 30-year-old being hoisted in the air and paraded around the stage. Lisa performed strong versions of 'Thunder' and 'Fxck Up the World,' with the 28-year-old White Lotus actress also showcasing her undeniable dancing skills. Jennie, who played a small run of shows timed to her solo release Ruby, had the crowd singing along to a mashup of her songs 'Mantra' and 'With an IE (way up).' The 29-year-old made the stadium feel like a club with a dynamic performance of her hit 'Like Jennie.' Rosé was the last of her group members to perform solo. The 28-year-old sang the mellow '3am' and an abridged version of her album's lead single 'Toxic Till the End' before ending with a dynamite performance of 'Apt.' It's clear that each member of the group has had time to grow as a performer — Lisa and Jennie made their solo Coachella debut, Jisoo toured Asia earlier this year and Rosé found herself with an unstoppable top 40 hit in 'Apt.' But each solo section skillfully conveyed the notion that performing as solo singers has only improved their skills and chemistry as a group. The choice to include these solo sections contributed to the overall feeling that any attendee of the show likely felt when leaving Sunday night — Blackpink is at the top of their game. Beyoncé dominates final Atlanta tour show with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy: Top moments
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter closed out her Atlanta shows for the "Cowboy Carter" tour, and the grand finale performance was one of her most unforgettable shows yet, powered by an electric crowd and standout moments. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her final Atlanta concert at Mercedes-Benz Stadium around 8:29 p.m. local time on Monday, July 14. The concert marked her last of four shows at the stadium on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. A crowd-led wave rippled through the stadium as the night began, setting the tone before Beyoncé appeared. "Welcome! I have to say thank you Atlanta for giving me some of the best shows of my life," Beyoncé told the exhilarated crowd as she opened the show for the final time. She also hit the stage July 10, July 11, and July 13. The concert seemed to be one of the most high-powered yet. Beyoncé cemented this during the night, telling the audience, "I'm sorry, y'all are the loudest crowd." Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with a 39-song set list. The nine-city tour has spanned the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale set for July 26 in Las Vegas. The Atlanta finale stayed true to the family, fashion and genre mixing for which the tour has become known, delivering unforgettable highlights throughout the night. Jay-Z surprises fans again, joining Beyoncé for a second night in a row Beyoncé once again stunned the energetic crowd when husband Jay-Z returned to the stage as they sang their 2003 song, "Crazy in Love." He followed it up with his 2003 anthem, "Public Service Announcement." The night prior, Jay surprised fans when he joined Bey on stage for the first time in the U.S. But during Monday's show, he added another song to his set, performing his 2000 hit "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)." The crowd went wild, prompting Jay to pause briefly to take it all in. Jay-Z first took the stage with Beyoncé on this tour during Beyoncé's third Paris concert at Stade de France on June 22, her last overseas show. He performed the same tunes along with his hit song, "N***as in Paris." Jay-Z's onstage appearances have also consistently ushered in the return of Beyoncé's 2013 tracks "Partition" and "Drunk in Love." 'ATL!' Beyoncé returns the love after fans chant her name in Atlanta It was clear from the start that Beyoncé felt the high-octane energy, and it only continued to build throughout the night. At one point, she paused as the crowd erupted into cheers and began chanting her name. She returned the love by shouting back "ATL!" before hitting the the viral "innitt" dance, popularized by the song "Whim Whamiee" by Atlanta artists Pluto and YKNIECE. Beyoncé, her 13-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and 8-year-old daughter Rumi Carter each showed off the move at different moments during the tour stop, igniting the crowd. Blue Ivy is moved by riveting crowd, closes out show with Beyoncé It seems all the Carters felt the energy of the night. One of the anticipated moments of each show is Blue Ivy's dance number to Beyoncé's 2006 hit, "Deja Vu." Each night, Blue wowed fans with her dance moves, fierce strut and confident hair flips, but Monday's performance felt especially meaningful. After finishing the routine, she appeared visibly moved, pausing a little longer than usual to take in the roaring cheers from the crowd. That emotion was underscored when she and Beyoncé shared a sweet moment together at the end of the show, closing out the night with a hug and taking in all the love. Beyoncé's tour has also been a huge showcase of fashion and creativity. Each night, Beyoncé continues to blend high fashion and cowboy couture, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they anticipate a new look. There's been many looks incorporating Western-glam – sparkly chaps, cowboy hats, boots and piles of fringe – whihc continued throughout her Atlanta stint. Unreleased music theft strikes Beyoncé's tour just days before Atlanta show
Beyoncé's unreleased music has reportedly been stolen along with some luxury items from her choreographer's rental car. Image: Instagram Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour has kicked off with its fair share of iconic, scary and dramatic moments. Since its launch on April 28 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, the tour has been making headlines for all the right reasons. However, the latest development has added a dramatic twist to the tour's record, with unreleased music reportedly stolen in Atlanta during the tour's stop in the city. The theft took place on July 8, just two days before Beyoncé's first Atlanta performance as part of her four-night Cowboy Carter tour stop in the city. The police confirmed that unreleased music by Beyoncé was among several items stolen from a rental car used by the singer's choreographer, Christopher Grant and one of her dancers. Other missing items included an Apple MacBook, headphones which belonged to the singer's daughter Blue Ivy, and a couple of luxury clothing items. According to reports, police tracked the location of the stolen MacBook and headphones, investigating an area where the devices had been detected, but there is no indication that any of the stolen items were found. Following an investigation, Atlanta police have issued an arrest warrant; however, the suspect's name has not been revealed to the public, and they remain on the run. Despite this setback, the Grammy-award-winning artist has continued to deliver her captivating performances on stage. Even with the latest drama surrounding the tour, the inception of the "Cowboy Carter" tour has been filled with some of the most heart-warming moments, like when Beyoncé shared the stage with her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi. And on a different note, a scary moment occurred during the Houston stop of the tour when Beyoncé's mid-air car prop malfunctioned, tilting dangerously during her performance of '16 Carriages'. The incident happened at NRG Stadium, where Beyoncé was suspended above the crowd in a red convertible. She calmly instructed the crew to 'stop' as the music paused, and the car was eventually lowered to the ground. After a brief delay, Beyoncé returned to the stage, thanking the crowd for their patience. The tour will officially come to an end after a stop at Las Vegas for two nights late in July.

2028 L.A. Olympics schedule: Organizers set dates for several competitions
LA28 released the first look at the 2028 Olympic competition schedule on Monday, exactly three years before the Games open on July 14, 2028. The slate is highlighted by a break in tradition to accommodate the organizing committee's unique, dual-venue opening ceremony plan. Instead of beginning the schedule with swimming, as has been customary in recent Games, track and field will instead take place during the first week of competition from July 15 to 24 at the Coliseum. Swimming will follow from July 22 to 30 at SoFi Stadium, where an indoor pool will be built after the opening ceremony. Advertisement The opening ceremony, now officially scheduled for 5 p.m. PDT on July 14, 2028, will be shared between the Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. Swimming will deliver the final competition of the 2028 Olympics as the last medal events are set to begin at 3 p.m. on July 30, 2028. Three hours later, the Olympic Games will conclude with the closing ceremony at 6 p.m. at the Coliseum. Read more: Your guide to official venues for 2028 L.A. Olympics and Paralympics Several sports will begin qualifying competitions before the opening ceremony, including cricket. The sport, which is returning to the Games for the first time since 1900, will be played at the Fairgrounds in Pomona and begin competition on July 12, along with soccer, handball, water polo, basketball, rugby and field hockey. Making its Olympic debut, flag football will take place during the first week of competition from July 15 to 22 at BMO Stadium. The early competition could help reduce potential overlap with NFL training camps. Active NFL players are allowed to try out for Olympic national teams, but training camps typically begin in late July. Advertisement The sport will get a premier showcase opportunity in its Olympic debut as all flag football competitions are scheduled for afternoon and evening time slots. The men's medal games are from from 6-8:30 p.m. on July 21, 2028 with the women's finals beginning at 1 p.m. on July 22. Marquee events swimming, track and field, and artistic gymnastics (July 15-20, July 22-25) will dominate the prime-time windows in the United States as the Summer Games return to American soil for the first time since 1996. U.S. viewership of the Olympics waned from 2018 to 2022 as three consecutive Games in Asian countries made for complicated time zone changes. Viewers in the Pacific Time Zone were 16 hours behind live coverage from Tokyo in 2021, when the pandemic-delayed Games averaged a record-low Olympic viewership for NBC. But numbers skyrocketed at the Paris Games, where evening sessions in Europe made for lunchtime viewing stateside, building interest just in time for L.A. to take the torch. Advertisement 'We are energized by today's milestones,' LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover said in a statement Monday that also celebrated 1 million enrollments with the youth sports program PlayLA, 'and remain focused on the work ahead as the Road to 2028 continues.' Read more: U.S. flag football players want to end the 'us vs. them' narrative with NFL A full list of times for specific events are expected to be released later this year. LA28 announced its eighth sponsorship deal of the year last week, inking Uber and Uber Eats as the official rideshare and on-demand delivery partners, respectively. The private organizing group plans to release information for volunteer opportunities this year, and registration for the ticket lottery should follow in early 2026.
