Atlético Ottawa kick off Capital Pride month with ‘Soccer is for Everyone' event
Kicking off Capital Pride month, Atlético Ottawa is holding its fifth annual 'Soccer is for Everyone' match at TD Place on Sunday.
A massive Pride flag will be parading centre field ahead of the game with a colourful smoke demonstration during the commemoration ceremony.
Uniting with the 2SLGBTQ+ community, Atlético and Volkswagen are supporting five local 2SLGBTQ+ organizations: Capital Pride, Capital Rainbow Refuge, Ten Oaks Project, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ottawa (PRISM Program) and the newly formed Ottawa Pride FC.
Free branded bucket hats will be given out to the first 500 fans.
Atlético Ottawa hosts York United FC at 4 p.m.
