Social Affairs minister hails Yemeni workers' national steadiness, stances
Sana'a - Saba: The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajaala, praised the patriotic stances of Yemeni workers in confronting the aggression and their decision to cancel the celebration of their international day, May 1, in solidarity with Gaza, whose residents are being killed and displaced. In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Minister Bajaala praised the keenness and support of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, for all the issues and rights of male and female workers, who have persevered in workplaces and production sites throughout the years of aggression and siege. He pointed out that Yemeni workers have foiled the gamble of the aggression's masters and their henchmen on disrupting the field of work by their defiance and presence in their service barracks, proud of their martyred colleagues in the face of the arrogance of the American-Zionist aggression, and of their fellow workers who work with some international organizations operating in our country, ignoring the tactics of intimidation and enticement practiced by these organizations in their attempts to subjugate them and threaten them with dismissal from their jobs, in service of agendas that serve the goals of the aggression. Minister Bajaala pointed out that the Yemeni workers' announcement of the cancellation of their international holiday, which falls today, May 1, is not due to a lack of resources, but rather to highlight the richness of their values and morals, raising the slogan: "How can we celebrate when our brothers and sisters are being killed in Gaza and the West Bank in full view of the world?" He said, "It is true that we were surprised by their request to cancel the celebration, but this is not surprising for the Yemeni Workers Union, with its leadership, pioneers, and members, who deserve our kisses, each and every one, for they are today the bearers of history, in a time that has become historyless." The Minister of Social Affairs reiterated the Ministry's condemnation and its affiliated units, the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund, the Social Welfare Fund, and civil society organizations, of all the crimes committed by the American aggression against Yemen, which have resulted in the deaths of innocent citizens and workers, the latest of which was the targeting of Ras Issa Port in Hodeida, the Farwa Market in the capital, the ceramics factory in Bani Matar in Sana'a Governorate, and other massacres that are shocking to humanity.
