Chopard hosts gala dinner in Tangier to support the Lalla Asmaa Foundation

On Thursday evening, luxury house Chopard hosted a lavish gala dinner at the Palais Moulay Hafid in Tangier in support of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, as part of Tangier Fashion Week. Held under the honorary presidency of Princess Lalla Asmaa, the gala aimed to support the Foundation's work with hearing-impaired children and those with cochlear implants. This major charitable event brought together an array of international aristocracy, prominent Moroccan families, and leading figures from the worlds of cinema, fashion, and luxury. Among the guests were international film star and style icon Luke Evans, who has shown a strong personal commitment to the Foundation's cause, as well as Carlo D'Amario, Chairman of Vivienne Westwood, Egyptian actress Nelly Karim, Moroccan TV host and producer Mayssa El Marghibi, French-Egyptian opera singer Farah El Dibany, Chopard's International Director of High Jewelry Sofyann Salah, and Countess Isabelle de Bigault de Casanova. The evening featured an exceptional haute couture fashion show from Chopard's «Caroline's» collection, along with a display of its high jewelry creations, all set against the enchanting backdrop of the majestic Palais Moulay Hafid, an ideal setting to showcase such prestigious designs. Speaking at the event, Luke Evans expressed his admiration for the Lalla Asmaa Foundation's remarkable efforts in Africa and beyond to support deaf and hearing-impaired children. «This evening of elegance, fashion, and above all generosity is a chance to inspire one another and reflect together on how we can better support this cause», he said. «If we work together, collectively, no matter where we are in the world, we can make a difference». Sofyann Salah highlighted that the gala dinner was an opportunity to shine a light on the «deeply moving work» carried out by the Foundation, which provides comprehensive and compassionate care for children with hearing impairments. He emphasized the morning visit to the «Princess Lalla Asmaa Center for Deaf Children» in Tangier, where guests had the chance to witness the services provided by the facility. He affirmed that Maison Chopard is proud to support the Foundation's humanitarian work in helping children thrive. More than a charitable initiative, the Lalla Asmaa Foundation embodies a holistic social project focused on the inclusion of hearing-impaired children through comprehensive, compassionate, and innovative care. From cochlear implant surgery to educational, medical, and family support, the Foundation guides each child, and their family, on a sensitive journey toward hearing, speaking, and autonomy. This edition of Tangier Fashion Week further strengthens the city's position as an emerging hub of luxury, fashion, and socially engaged creativity in Africa and on the global stage.
