New BJP state prez gets a grand welcome in Indore

chief Hemant Khandelwal on Monday lauded the efforts put in by party workers in taking the party to heights in Indore, but asked them to spread thew word of the goods works of the govt among the masses.
"We are already strong and thus, we won all the seats of Indore. But whatever shortcoming would be there, we will remove it and will further strengthen the party's base," Khandelwal said addressing a gathering of BJP workers in Indore. He also expressed wish BJP to continue to grow as a disciplined organization. "I am just a party worker, belongs to a tribal district. I have been assigned many big assignments by the party, but I always try to not to be highlighted in media while performing the duties and strengthening BJP" he said.
Khandelwal received a fervent welcome in Indore on Monday, marked by both enthusiastic support and moments of significant chaos. His visit began with prayers at Khajrana Ganesh Temple and a visit to the Gurudwara at Pipliya Rao, before culminating in a large party workers' conference at Solaris Garden Hotel.
Upon arriving at Khajrana Ganesh Temple, Khandelwal was met with an immediate show of strength from local leaders, eager to demonstrate their influence.

This led to jostling with police as supporters vied to get close, causing a delay before Khandelwal could finally enter the temple for darshan. After his prayers, he stated, "Our party is already at great heights; we will take it even further."
A cheque of Rs 4.25 crore for 'Ajivan Sahyog Nidhi' (Lifetime Contribution Fund) was handed over to the new BJP state chief. The welcome ceremony, which involved groups of party workers from all assembly constituencies of Indore, along with various 'Morchas' (front organisations), led to considerable chaos on the stage as each group vied for attention.
Public Faces Woes Amidst Welcoming Cavalcade: While BJP workers showcased immense enthusiasm to welcome their new state chief on Monday, this fervour translated into chaotic scenes at several junctures. Commuters faced long traffic jams at Khajrana Square, AB Road, Ring Road, and Rau during the passage of Khandelwal's motorcade. At various intersections, traffic police and volunteers struggled to manage the flow, with jams particularly noticeable during the evening peak hours.
As hundreds of party workers from all the assembly constituencies of Indore followed Khandelwal's motorcade before marking attendance in the main event, the same resulted in commuters facing jams and looking for alternate routes to reach their destination.
