Internet users have been left in hysterics after a birthday celebration for the workplace boss went disastrously wrong.
TikTok user Kristen, who posts under the username @hohfarm, works in a funeral home, and recently went viral as she shared what was supposed to be a sweet moment celebrating her boss, Marc's, birthday.
In the clip, posted in July and viewed close to 4 million times, she walks into an office where Marc sits behind a desk and looks up in confusion—and she is soon followed by several other women, one holding a delicious-looking cake.
As they begin singing "Happy Birthday," everything looks as if it is going smoothly—until the woman holding the birthday cake suddenly trips.
The video turns into slow motion, and her face drops in horror as she stumbles, the cake slides off the plate, and lands directly into his lap.
Screams of shock can then be heard—still in slow motion—when the clip cuts off.
Kristen shared the video along with the caption: "Got this cake for my boss and wellll, it didn't go as planned."
TikTok users were in stitches, awarding the video more than 527,000 likes, as one pleaded for Kristen to "show us the full thing," and another agreed: "We need to see the aftermath."
One viewer laughed at how the woman had "tripped on literally nothing," as another asked: "Soooo did Mark have a happy birthday?"
And a third posted: "You could tell Mark felt it coming."
Others noticed something on Marc's desk, with plenty of commenters asking about it, with one summing it up: "Why does he have a small casket on his desk?"
In a video update, Kristen said they work in a funeral home—and revealed the small casket is a wine holder that Marc was given as a gift.
And, Kristen added, the cake survived the fall, having fallen off Marc's lap and landed right-side-up on the floor. And everyone got a slice—including the birthday boy.

The "Happy Birthday" song is a century-old tradition, sung across the world in different languages, but it began as a tune written by two sisters, Mildred Hill and Patty Smith Hill, to sing to their kindergarten students.
According to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the sisters sang "good morning to all" to that melody, and it was published in a book titled Song Stories of the Kindergarten.
A modified version appeared in a 1924 songbook edited by Robert H. Coleman, who changed the lyrics to "happy birthday to you," where it snowballed into the modern-day tradition.
