Lucknow: LDA offers up to Rs 2 lakh discount on flats till June 30

LUCKNOW : To boost housing sales , the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has increased the discount amount on the purchase of flats to up to Rs 2 lakh. The offer will remain valid till June 30 on a first-come, first-serve basis. As per the new discount structure, flats priced up to Rs 45 lakh will receive a concession of Rs 1.5 lakh while those above Rs 45 lakh will be eligible for a Rs 2 lakh discount. Previously, the discounts were Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh respectively. Discounts will be available in the schemes, Sopana Enclave Apartment at Priyadarshini Yojana, Adra and Ratan Lok Apartments located at Shardanagar, Ashlesha, Shravan, Magha, Margashirsha, Sunrise and Purva Apartments located on Kanpur Road and Smriti Apartment located in Jankipuram. A senior LDA official said: "This initiative is a part of our efforts to make housing more affordable and to promote faster allotments. The enhanced discount will be available in several well-located schemes across the city, offering buyers a range of options to choose from." Moreover, LDA is also hiring private real estate dealers and brokers on a commission basis to boost the sales of the flats. The discount scheme was originally launched in Oct last year as part of LDA's golden jubilee celebrations. Initially valid for three months, it was later extended till March due to limited response. However, sales continued to remain below expectations, prompting the authority to further revise the scheme. LDA officials are optimistic that this revised offer will significantly improve buyer interest and help reduce the backlog of unsold flats.
