The stars of the most talked about horror film of 2025 were on the red carpet for the Sydney premiere on Monday night. Bring Her Back, directed by Australian brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, the powerhouse duo behind 2022's smash hit Talk To Me, premiered in Sydney and the talented young cast and an array of stars were on hand to celebrate. Leading the charge was Talk To Me star Sophie Wilde, who stunned in a plunging black gown. The Aussie actress opted for halter dress with a deep V-neck and a maxi length cut, paired with towering heels. She pulled her hair off her face and chose a warm makeup look with a natural lip and rosy blush. She stunned in a plunging black gown. The Aussie actress opted for halter dress with a deep V-neck and a maxi length cut, paired with towering heels Sophie completed her ensemble with a pair of hoop earrings and a dainty chain, as well as a smattering of rings. Also turning heads was rising star Mischa Heywood who looked adorable in a pale blue, strapless number with a bubble skirt. The 15-year-old's dress featured a floral motif across the front and she added a pair of strappy beige heels. The Aussie actress added a fine gold necklace and small hoop earrings while wearing her hair down in soft curls. For makeup, Mischa chose a rosy palette with some highlighter as well as a pink lipstick. Another of the film's cast, Sora Wong, also put in a glamorous appearance in a black, lace ruffled mini dress. She added a short leather jacket which sat off her shoulders as well as edgy biker boots. The actress completed her look with a simple necklace and a soft, natural makeup look while letting her dark hair fall in loose strands. Bring her back is the second original feature from Australian filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou, after the international success of their first film, Talk To Me. Oscar-nominated English actress Sally Hawkins, 48, known for her roles in Paddington, Wonka and Happy-Go-Lucky, stars in the supernatural chiller. Hawkins was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in the 2013 film Blue Jasmine. She was nominated again in 2018 for her leading role in the Best Picture winning film The Shape of Water. Hawkins plays grieving mother Laura, who attempts to bring her daughter back from the dead using a paranormal ritual. The Adelaide-born twin brothers, 32 who have a YouTube channel called RackaRacka, re-teamed with independent production company A24 and Causeway's Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton who produced their box office hit Talk to Me. Ahead of the premiere, star Mischa Heywood revealed that filming Bring Her Back was anything but scary. 'It was just like a big party. It was the funnest thing ever,' she said of her experience playing Catherine in the film. The boys started out filming stunts and pranks in their backyard at the age of seven, but soon graduated from home videos to Hollywood flicks. 'They're so full of energy and bubbly, which is great because when you're filming something so serious and devastating like Bring Her Back I guess you have to have that fun on set to lighten the mood,' Mischa told Daily Mail Australia of the YouTubers turned horror directors. 'They're just the sweetest human beings.' And the RackaRacka brothers weren't the only ones on set who had the young actress starstruck. 'I think my highlight when filming was probably meeting Sally Hawkins,' she said, adding that she was 'so cool' and 'hardworking'. Sally, who has featured in mega box office films such as Wonka, The Shape of Water and Paddington, plays Mischa's mum Laura in the flick. Despite throwing herself into the 'grown-up' movie genre, Mischa still had time to be a teen on set, playing foosball with her castmates between takes and going out for YoChi with her co-star Sora Wong, who plays Piper. Sora was one of her 'best friends' while filming Bring Her Back and the girls 'helped each other' while filming, bonding over their shared interests and similar age. It was Sora who broke the big news to Mischa that they'd be heading to Los Angeles for the film's US premiere, a 'surreal' moment for the young star. 'LA has been on my bucket list for years,' she said. Bring Her Back is set to hit Aussie screens on May 29.

EXCLUSIVE The shocking act Christian Wilkins admits he would do to make it big in Hollywood
Christian Wilkins has revealed the shock act he would perform in order to score a Hollywood movie role. Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia at Australian Fashion Week, Christian, who moved to LA in 2023 to pursue his acting career, said he would shave his luscious locks for a movie role. 'Yeah, I mean Anne Hathaway won an Oscar for doing that [for Les Misérables],' he said. 'Only if I can win an Oscar, that's where I am! 'I love my hair... I feel it is such a big part of my identity, but to be able to chase your dreams and do something you really love, of course.' Christian previously starred alongside Babygirl actress Sophie Wilde and Samuel Johnson in the 2021 Stan Original Series Eden. The fashion icon, who effortlessly pushes the boundaries of style and gender-normative conventions in the world of fashion, sat down for an exclusive interview with Daily Mail Australia amid the chaos of Carriageworks. He used his five-minute breather between shows to share all the details of his beauty and exercise regime. The Sydney-born star said to achieve the perfect blowout he swears by the Shark FlexStyle which he uses 'all the time'. 'It's really rare that you get to work with brands that you genuinely love,' he said of the appliance company, praising their innovation. And as for how he keeps his hair healthy, Christian narrows it down to one thing - genetics. 'People ask me all the time what I do. I do take supplements and collagen and stuff like that, but I think it's really genetics [and Shark beauty],' he said with a wink. When it comes to his skin, the actor and LGBTQIA+ activist relies on a new Hollywood go-to to keep his face fresh and glowy. The Sydney-born star said to achieve the perfect blowout he swears by the Shark FlexStyle which he uses 'all the time' 'I have a really simple skincare routine. I use collagen peptides and then beef tallow,' Christian adds. 'In the States, it's huge at the moment. People are using beef tallow for their healthcare, for their skincare.' Beef tallow, a new viral skincare product, is a type of fat rendered from cow meat or mutton suet. The model also leans on the Mediterranean diet to keep his body in shape, going back to his roots when filling up a plate. 'My mum is Greek and cooking healthy foods and proteins and vegetables was always what I grew up on,' he revealed. 'I was that kid that went to school with falafel and hummus and fresh zucchini.' It's no surprise Christian's physical splendour is down to a passion for fitness and a love of lifting weights, but perhaps what is more touching is the care and softness he feels towards his body as he ages and his new life outlook after turning 30. 'My body has changed quite a bit,' he shared. 'I used to find it easy to be slender. Now, I'm putting on more muscle and I'm liking coming into my new body... really proud of that.'

Netflix's Best New Horror Movie Is A Must-Watch This Weekend
Talk To Me I could have sworn this just came out yesterday, but back in 2023, we saw the release of a horror film that became an instant possession-based classic, and one that has just hit Netflix. That would be Talk to Me, a horror movie that has arrived at #4 on Netflix's Top 10 movie list, and it's a must-watch for any fan of the genre. It was one of the top-scored horror films of 2023 with a 94% rating from almost 300 critics, which is extremely impressive. Here's the synopsis of the film: 'When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.' That may sound somewhat basic, but a better description of the film is that it turns communing with spirits and being possessed as a sort of high school party game, at one point producing one of the best, more harrowing sequences I've seen in the genre. The film is led by Sophie Wilde, who performs excellently as Mia. Her career only reaches back to 2021, but since then, she's been in 30 episodes of five different shows. Most recently, she had a part in the acclaimed Babygirl with Nicole Kidman this past year. Talk to Me Talk To Me was the fourth highest-scored horror movie of 2023, but definitely the highest-scored, English, mainstream film. The ones above it were the much more niche and foreign When Evil Lurks, Huesera: The Bone Woman and Attachment. Those are great too, but Talk to Me is unique among the entire genre. One point below it is M3GAN, which would be another higher-profile horror film that year at a stellar 93% (and it did great at the box office, and is getting a sequel). Speaking of sequels, yes, Talk To Me, has in fact gotten a sequel greenlit by A24, which is titled, Talk 2 Me. I get it, but that's probably going to be a bit confusing. The original directors will return. Supposedly that movie is out in May of 2025, just a month from now, but I don't think that's happening as I've heard nothing about it at all. Hopefully it's still actually being made. Star Sophie Wilde doesn't really know what's going on, nor is she clear on whether she will return. Here's what she said about it in February 2024 to GamesRadar: 'I don't know. I feel like it's still a bit hush hush because I mean, the boys [filmmakers Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou], they're such workaholics. I know they're focusing on a bunch of other projects that they're doing at the moment. So I don't know, it's all up in the air. But I said to them, I was like, "I'm gonna get actual FOMO if I'm not in this film, so can I just come on set and be like a boom operator? I will be an assistant director, I just want to be involved.' Regardless of if a sequel is made, the original should be on your list to watch on Netflix this weekend if you like horror at all, and I think it could exist as a fully standalone project if need be.
