Two held after gunfight for robbing formerMLA's house in Noida
Noida: Two persons, allegedly involved in a robbery at an MLA's house, were arrested after a gunfight with cops near Sector 76 metro station late on Wednesday night. Those arrested include Gaurav (26) and Sourabh (20). Both are brothers, natives of Bulandshahr, and were currently residing in Morna village, Sector 24. According to Yamuna Prasad, DCP Noida, on Saturday night, Sector 49 police were conducting checks near the Sector 76 metro station. The suspects arrived on a motorcycle and were signalled to stop, but they tried to flee. The police team chased the miscreants, and the two fell off the bike after it skidded near Sector 50. After this, the miscreants opened fire at the police. Sourabh tried to flee but was arrested during the combing. Illegal pistols and cartridges, Rs 6,500 in cash, a stolen Samsung phone, 15 steel water taps, and the Splendor motorcycle have been recovered from their possession. DCP Prasad informed that Gaurav was admitted to the district hospital. "During interrogation, it was found that the brothers had also been involved in house robberies and chain snatching. More than ten cases are registered against Gaurav in different police stations, and five against Sourabh. These include cases ranging from robbery and theft to offences under the Arms Act," he added.

'I have said this a couple of times, I wish one day I get to play Rabindranath Tagore.
