WWE Smackdown results: Andrade defeats Carmelo Hayes and Jacob Fatu to book Money in the Bank Ladder Match spot

Andrade has officially qualified for the 2025 Money in the Bank ladder match. He scored a big win on SmackDown by pinning Carmelo Hayes in a wild triple-threat match that also featured Jacob Fatu. The match kicked off with all three Superstars flying into action. Andrade and Fatu briefly worked together before turning on each other. Hayes tried to stay in the mix but was knocked aside several times. On the outside, Fatu ran over The Miz with a brutal hip attack into the barricade just before the first commercial break. Andrade takes advantage of Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo's interference WHAT A MATCH! 👏@AndradeElIdolo is heading to #MITB! 🪜#SmackDown Back in the ring, Andrade landed a Spanish Fly, and Hayes connected with a Codebreaker. Fatu tried to end things with a double jump moonsault, but Andrade broke up the pin. Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo walked to the ringside as the match heated up. Fatu delivered another big moonsault on Hayes but looked toward Sikoa and Mateo for approval instead of going for the win. That gave Andrade his chance. As Jimmy Uso ran down to take out Mateo, Hayes got back in the ring and landed a Codebreaker on Fatu. But Andrade was one step ahead. He grabbed Hayes and smashed him with The Message, his spinning back elbow, to get the three count and punch his ticket to Los Angeles. With this victory, Andrade joins LA Knight, Penta, Seth Rollins, and Solo Sikoa in the Men's Money in the Bank 2025 ladder match. It was a win that proved timing is everything, and Andrade picked his moment perfectly.

Sol Ruca retains title with daring top-rope finisher at WWE NXT Battleground

Image via WWE WWE NXT Battleground 2025 kicked off in spectacular fashion as Sol Ruca defended her North American Women's Championship with a high-risk, high-reward performance. The 25-year-old champion stunned fans and fellow Superstars alike with a jaw-dropping top-rope version of her signature move, the 'Sol Snatcher. ' Kelani Jordan pushes champion to the limit Challenger Kelani Jordan brought her A-game to Tampa's Yuengling Center. Having secured the title shot by defeating Ruca's partner Zaria, Jordan came inches away from claiming the championship. She landed multiple Frog Splashes, nearly scoring three quick pinfalls in a row. A Spanish Fly from the top rope added to the near-falls, but Ruca refused to back down. Their chemistry was on full display, with both Superstars countering and striking in rapid succession. The match reached its peak when Ruca reversed a final attack and delivered the Sol Snatcher - not from the mat, but the top rope - to seal the win. WWE universe erupts Over Sol Ruca's Finish Social media exploded following the finish, with praise pouring in from all corners. 'If NXT had a Hall of Fame, Sol Ruca would be inducted tonight,' one fan wrote. FadeAwayMedia tweeted, 'I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH. SOL RUCA THE BEST IN THE WORLD.' Even WWE's official account joined the conversation, calling attention to the high-flying finisher. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Some fans called for Ruca's immediate promotion to the main roster, while others marveled at her athleticism, saying she had 'the best finisher' in the company. That said, a few skeptical viewers pointed out the visible choreography behind the move, commenting on its predictability. However, the overall reaction remained overwhelmingly positive. Sol Ruca's victory at Battleground marks her first successful title defense since winning the championship at Stand and Deliver during WrestleMania weekend. That ladder match saw her outlast top names like Lola Vice, Thea Hail, and Jordan herself. In addition to her NXT reign, Ruca also holds the WWE Women's Speed Championship - becoming one of the few Superstars in recent memory to hold titles across two brands simultaneously. With Battleground's momentum in full swing and three more titles still on the line, Ruca's performance has undoubtedly raised the bar. Whether she faces Jordan again or a new challenger emerges, one thing is clear - Sol Ruca is not just defending a title, she's building a legacy.
