Police search for suspect, stolen car after girl, 12, abducted, sexually assaulted

An active search is underway by Philadelphia police for a suspect and a stolen car. HUNTING PARK - Officials say a suspect search is on after a 12-year-old girl was abducted and sexually assaulted near Philly's Hunting Park neighborhood. What we know Friday night, about 9:30, Philadelphia police were called to an area near Germantown and Erie avenues on the report of an abduction in progress. Police discovered that a 12-year-old girl was sleeping in the backseat of a 2010 white Ford Taurus, while the car was running and the keys were in the ignition. An unknown person got into the car and drove off. According to authorities, just before 10 p.m., the girl was found at Broad Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. She had been sexually assaulted. Police rushed her to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. Dig deeper Police are looking for a man with a thin build who was wearing all dark clothing in connection to the incident. Mother arrested after baby tests positive for fentanyl in Henderson Co.

Philadelphia police searching for stolen car, man accused of sexually assaulting, abducting child
Philadelphia police are searching for a man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl after stealing a car in North Philadelphia Friday night. According to police, a 12-year-old girl was sleeping in the backseat of a white 2010 Ford Taurus that was left running in the area of Germantown and Erie avenues at around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Investigators said a man with a thin build, wearing all dark-colored clothing, then stole the vehicle and drove away with the 12-year-old girl inside. Philadelphia police have yet to provide a photo or name for a potential suspect as of Saturday afternoon. Police were responding to the abduction and found a child matching the 12-year-old's description at Broad Street and Roosevelt Boulevard just after 9:50 p.m. Authorities said the child was brought to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The white Ford Taurus has yet to be recovered. Suspicious person reported on Kitchener trail
Photo of a man Waterloo Regional Police are trying to identify. (Provided) Waterloo Regional Police have released the photo of a person who reportedly followed a girl in Kitchener. On Sunday, at around 5:50 p.m., she was walking along the Iron Horse Trail when a stranger approached. Police said the male made several attempts to interact with the girl and then followed her into Victoria Park, where she sought help from a parkgoer. Police are hoping someone can identify the male in the image. He's described as Black, approximately 6'0' tall with curly hair, and was wearing a red and black plaid shirt, beige cargo pants and black running shoes with white soles. Anyone with information is asked to contact the WRPS' Special Victims Unit at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers.
