Reality TV royalty rumored for Dancing with the Stars after suffering devastating tragedy

The newest season of Dancing With the Stars is just weeks away, but fans are still wondering who will be slated to appear in America's favorite dancing competition. DWTS, which returns to ABC with its 34th season next month, has been known to catapult C-list celebrities into overnight sensations. Last season, The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson took home the coveted Mirrorball trophy, while Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and Alan Bernstein finished in second place. As for this year, only a handful of celebrities have confirmed their appearance. Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, TikTok influencer Alix Earle, and Robert Irwin – the son of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin – were the first to announce their casting. However, a insider has exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail that reality TV royalty could be taking to the coveted ballroom in a few weeks. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have both been asked to join, according to an insider. But the deal isn't set in stone just yet, as it will reportedly take a major paycheck for the couple to sign on. 'Spencer and Heidi have both been asked to join the next season of DWTS, and they could sign on the dotted line if the money is right. It is all about the money,' the source said. 'Negotiations are hot and heavy right now.' The couple, who have been married since 2008, have been in need of a financial boost after losing their $2.5million Pacific Palisades home in the devastating Los Angeles fires earlier this year. Heidi, 38, recently revealed that they can't even afford to rebuild on the lot where their home once stood. Instead, the couple have been living in a rental home in Santa Barbara with their two sons – Gunner, seven, and Ryker, two. In an effort to get back on their feet, Spencer, 41, immediately sprang into action by urging his fans to stream Heidi's 2010 album Superficial. The record – which only sold 1,000 copies in its first week – reached the top of the iTunes chart in the US in January, thanks to Spencer's viral posts, and generated nearly $150,000 from streaming and digital sales, Billboard reported at the time. It also reignited Heidi's music career, as she filmed a new music video for the album's hit single, I'll Do It, more than 10 years after its initial release. The Hills stars have clearly shown they're willing to do whatever it takes to support their family, and joining the upcoming season of DWTS will undoubtedly lead to even more lucrative opportunities for the couple. 'After losing their home in the fires earlier this year, they have tried to figure out how to make money to get back on their feet,' the source continued. 'What better way than being a part of the show which will no doubt spark other opportunities? 'They already have the story that DWTS loves, so if they can incorporate that into making a few extra dollars, there is nothing more that they can ask for – as they want to make any quick buck they can make.' Despite their financial woes, Heidi and Spencer have been picky when it comes to their next move – even shutting down pleas to join the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills due to the couple's longstanding feud with executive producer Andy Cohen. Although Heidi and Spencer have yet to confirm their casting on DWTS, the mother of two recently posted a TikTok video with dancing pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who teased that he might come out of retirement to partner with Heidi. 'Well, are we thinking Dancing With the Stars?' she said in the clip posted in May, as she posed with the 45-year-old DWTS alum. 'You should be on the next season,' he told Heidi, who asked if he would be her partner. 'I'll un-retire,' Maksim replied. Heidi and Spencer are seasoned reality TV veterans. The couple – nicknamed 'Speidi' – famously met at a Los Angeles nightclub in 2006 while Heidi was filming season one of MTV's The Hills. Spencer joined the following season, and they were married just two years after their first encounter. The series ended in 2010 after six seasons. They later joined the cast of I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2009. They repeatedly attempted to quit the survival show three times before finally leaving after Heidi got sick and was rushed to the hospital. They starred in Celebrity Big Brother UK in 2013 before returning for Celebrity Big Brother: All Stars vs New Stars in 2017, but they were evicted from the house after 25 days. They also enjoyed a stint on Celebrity Wife Swap in 2014, which saw Heidi swapping her Los Angeles lifestyle with four-time Olympian Amanda Beard, who lived in a rural area of Washington state. In 2019, several original cast members of MTV's The Hills reunited for The Hills: New Beginnings, but it was cancelled in early 2022 after two seasons. DWTS will premiere on ABC and Disney+ on September 16.

Spencer Pratt Reveals Why He Didn't Attend Brody Jenner's Wedding to Tia Blanco

Spencer Pratt explained his absence at Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco's intimate Malibu wedding over the weekend Pratt and Jenner have been friends since they were 13 While he was not in attendance, Pratt did take a moment to give Jenner a shout-out on his special daySpencer Pratt is clearing a few things up about his friendship with Brody Jenner. The 41-year-old reality star and his wife, Heidi Montag, were not in attendance at his longtime pal Brody Jenner's wedding to Tiarah 'Tia' Blanco over the weekend. When a commenter on TikTok asked Pratt why he opted not to attend the Malibu, Calif., nuptials, he replied with a photo of him and his sons Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2, dressed in what appeared to be formal wedding attire. 'At Heidi's sister's wedding,' Pratt captioned the response, adding, 'Holly had her wedding same time.' Though Heidi's sister, Holly Montag, appeared on several seasons of The Hills, she has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years. Heidi did not post about her sister's wedding on social media, opting to keep the occasion private. And while Pratt wasn't at Jenner's wedding in person, he did share some aerial paparazzi pics of the special moment to his Instagram stories, jokingly writing, '@brodyjenner I didn't call the helicopter.' Newlywed Jenner reposted the comment with a series of laughing/crying emojis. Jenner and Blanco got married in an intimate backyard ceremony at the home of Jenner's mother, Linda Thompson. The pair got engaged in June 2023, shortly before welcoming their daughter, Honey Raye. 'Last night was truly something special. We had the best time celebrating our love with all of you,' Jenner wrote on his Instagram Story on Sunday, July 13. 'Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such an unforgettable night. We felt so much love and couldn't be more grateful.' He shared several videos from the special day, including himself and Blanco feeding pieces of their wedding cake to little Honey. The group also jammed out to an electronic playlist presided over by a DJ. Jenner even showed off his surfing moves, getting up on top of a board being held up by multiple friends. Though the friends have had ups and downs and periods of silence throughout their relationship, they've remained close. 'Spencer is a great guy, he really is,' Jenner said in January on SiriusXM's Radio Andy. 'He's a brilliant guy. And it's nice to now see him get the sort of recognition he deserves because he has, he's come so far as well. He's such a great friend, father. He really is a great guy.' Pratt was in attendance in 2016 at Jenner's engagement dinner ahead of his union with ex Kaitlynn Carter. Jenner and Carter had a wedding ceremony in Indonesia in 2018, but split one year later. A source told PEOPLE at the time that Jenner and Carter were not legally married, as they never made their union official. Read the original article on People

Reality TV star sparks outrage after sharing video of shocking scene at local beach: 'This is unacceptable'

The internet makes it increasingly easy for anyone to witness a wide range of environmental issues, regardless of their location. In a recent TikTok post, Spencer Pratt (@spencerpratt), an American reality television star who probably wasn't on your bingo card to appear in an article for raising awareness about pollution, shared a troubling video of toxic runoff. "Look at this water," Pratt says in the video as he pans the camera, showing dirty, mucky water at the edge of the ocean. "That's before they even bring the toxic waste down from town." Toxic runoff, or runoff pollution, is created when rainwater or melted snow runs off the streets, carrying with it harmful waste or substances, trickling down until it reaches water sources, the Environmental Protection Agency explained. "Runoff picks up fertilizer, oil, pesticides, dirt, bacteria and other pollutants as it makes its way through storm drains and ditches - untreated - to our streams, rivers, lakes and the ocean," it said in its report. While there is a limited amount of runoff in natural areas, due to soil, fields, and plants being able to absorb most of the water, urban areas are much different. According to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, "Close to 100 percent of the rain that falls on concrete and other hard surfaces produces runoff. One inch of rain falling on an acre of hardened surface produces 27,000 gallons of runoff." Earlier this year, people in Los Angeles were warned against drinking the water or going into local water sources, due to the extensive runoff from heavy rains following the LA wildfires. Furthermore, new research has shown that storm runoff is a silent contributor to microplastic pollution. As urban areas have asphalt, concrete, and even rubber pavement, the runoff picks up the microplastics these materials possess as they break down, and carries the microplastic particles into the ocean with the water. Commenters on the TikTok video showed their distress about the polluted runoff. Do you think America has a plastic waste problem? Definitely Only in some areas Not really I'm not sure Click your choice to see results and speak your mind. One person said, "This is unacceptable….how does our government allow this BS." "This is actually insane…wow," someone else added. "Thanks for sharing all of this." To do your part in protecting the Earth, you can educate yourself on key climate issues, such as toxic runoff. Spencer Pratt horrifies fans with bloody forehead gash as he calmly asks them for treatment tips

Spencer Pratt injured himself and, like many a modern man, has turned to the internet for advice. The Bold and the Beautiful actor, 41, who defended his wife Heidi Montag's hair style at the American Music Awards, had a scary-looking gash on his head in a photo posted on social media Saturday morning. 'Glue or stitches this morning ?' he asked alongside a snap of his head resting on a white pillow. Fans were quick to offer advice. 'Triage nurse in me has so many questions; did you fall? How many feet? Impact? loss of Consciousness? What was the impact? Did you break the fall? Did you get a CT scan ??? How deep is the laceration?' she asked. 'Go get seen by a medical professional in person; don't ask Ig followers,' the medical professional told him. Another concurred with that advice but added some of her own. 'Also highly recommend a plastic surgeon to stitch you up since it's your face!' Pratt was apparently injured somewhere between New York and San Francisco. On Friday he and his wife travelled from New York City where he was supporting Montag's performance in honor of Pride Month at the Big Apple hotspot Zoo. 'That was an incredible performance,' Montag said in a video clip in her Instagram stories. 'I wish I could have stayed, and said "Hi" to everybody, but it was amazing, but we have an hour to change hair, makeup and get to the airport for San Francisco,' she explained. 'No sleep tonight,' she said at the end of the snippet. 'Spencer the universe keeps testing you man,' said another to The Princes of Malibu producer who lost his Los Angeles home in the deadly Palisades fire in January. He and Montag have joined a group of homeowners who lost their homes in a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles. Lines from the Santa Ynez reservoir, which had been offline since February awaiting repairs which were completed and the pipes were turned back on Thursday. The couple have been living with their children, Gunner, seven, and Ryker, two-and-a-half, in Santa Barbara. Although he has posted angry messages about having to pay sales tax on items needed to replace those lost in the blaze, Montag and Pratt are focusing on the disaster for an upcoming project. In April, the couple revealed they were pitching a project to Hulu about their lives in the aftermath of the fires at Variety Entertainment Marketing Summit. 'The music would be part of it, our family life, our dynamic, our team,' Montag said as part of the pitch.
