Beyonce removes this visual following cease-and-desist
Beyoncé saddled up for the third show of the Cowboy Carter Tour in Inglewood, but something was different.
The singer replaced a portion of her mid-concert visuals showing the Sphere in Las Vegas with Allegiant Stadium.
This comes days before Queen Bey was hit with a cease-and-desist from Sphere Entertainment Executive Chairman and CEO James Dolan claimed featuring the venue in her show was 'unauthorized.'
The group sent a letter to Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé's production company, demanding the image be pulled by Monday, May 5.
'It has recently come to SEG's attention that a Cowboy Carter tour interlude video contains the unauthorized use of SEG's intellectual property. SEG is sure that multiple aspects of the interlude video, including other brands, clips and music, were duly cleared by the tour with rights permissions from the rights holders whose works were used in the video, as is common practice,' the letter obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal said. 'SEG, however, was never asked and the prominent appearance and manipulation of SEG's Sphere™ venue in the video is unauthorized.'
'SEG demands that the tour cease and desist from using the Sphere™ venue in the video immediately—in addition to refraining from using this imagery on any merchandise, promotional or marketing materials, or in tour movies, etc. Should you fail to do so, SEG reserves all rights to take further action as SEG deems appropriate without notice to you.'
Before the change, the short video showed the singer as a Giant, similar to the 1958 classic 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman,' towering over all major landmarks across the country.
When she steps into Sin City, she grabs the Sphere. The imagery was included during the tour's first two shows in Inglewood.
To further drive the point home, Parkwood posted the edited Vegas portion of the video on Instagram.
'What happens in Vegas starts with a BANG,' the caption read.'
Fans immediately took to the comment section of the post to weigh in.
'I would love to be a part of (the) Parkwood social media team cause I have a few Petty ideas too,' a fan commented.
'PETTYONCÉ,' another one said.
The Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit's Southern California stop continues with a show on May 7 and 9.
