"Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" Release Delayed by 3 Weeks

Yara Sameh Spider-Man fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for 'Beyond the Spider-Verse.' The third installment in Sony's popular web-slinging animated trilogy has shifted its release date back by three weeks, from June 4, 2027 to June 25, 2027. Studio insiders tell Variety the move was made to capitalize on school-aged moviegoers — 100% of schools in the U.S. will be on summer break by the new date, as opposed to only 65% on June 4. 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse' is the conclusion to a trilogy that began with 2018's 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' and continued with 2023's 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.' Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson serve as directors for 'Beyond the Spider-Verse.' The screenplay is scripted by 'Spider-Verse' creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, alongside David Callaham. Lord and Miller will also produce with Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Jinko Gotoh. Aditya Sood and Christina Steinberg are executive producing while Jessica Berri will serve as co-producer. At CinemaCon in March, Lord told the audience that the threequel would begin with protagonist Miles Morales as a fugitive on the run from every other spider in the multiverse, and hinted that 'Gwen and his other friends may or may not be enough to help him save the family that's been the leading part of the entire system.' 'Into the Spider-Verse' took home the Oscar for best animated feature at the 91st Academy Awards, and 'Across the Spider-Verse' landed a nod in the same category. The first entry grossed $384 million globally in addition, while the sequel raked in a mighty $690 million. Sony also added the animated comedy 'Buds' to the schedule for March 12, 2027 from Sony Pictures Animation. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

The best shows to watch with the whole family these holidays

It's the second week of the school holidays and your kids are climbing the walls. Don't despair — there's plenty on the small screen to keep the children entertained and your brain intact. Here are a few of our tried and tested TV favourites to watch with the whole family. Modern Family. Credit: Supplied Modern Family has become something of a modern classic in recent years. Though it began in 2009, all these years later the plots remain current, the characters still relatable, and it more than stands the test of time. It's a delight to watch the extended Pritchett family grow through 11 fabulous seasons — well worth a rewatch. Archibald's Next Big Thing is well worth a look. Credit: Supplied You may not have heard of this delightful animation, all about a relentlessly optimistic chicken named Archibald and his family, but it should certainly be on your radar. Based on a book written by Arrested Development's Tony Hale, it stars the comedian as the central character and has a delightfully offbeat premise. A hidden gem! Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is streaming on Netflix. Credit: Supplied / TheWest Not yet discovered these great Spider-Man spin-offs? Rectify this immediately! This film came out in 2023 as a sequel to 2018's incredibly popular — and incredibly clever — Into The Spider-Verse. Dare we say it: it might even be better. The animation is terrific, but the best part is the story: it's engaging from the get-go, for tweens, teens and adults alike. Good news: there's another film in the works. Cynthia Erivo is Elphaba and Ariana Grande is Glinda in Wicked. Credit: Giles Keyte/Universal Pictures / Universal Pictures Wicked hit streaming just in time for the holidays — hooray! If you are one of those who missed it the first time around in the cinemas (guilty!), it's well worth a watch on the small screen. Before you dive in, head on over to Max, Binge or Apple TV Plus to watch the original film. It's amazing that at 85 years old, it still holds up. The perfect double-header. KPop Demon Hunters has taken the world by storm. Credit: Supplied / Netflix It's hard to underestimate just how popular this original animated film is with young audiences — it's rocketed up the streaming charts, and is one of the world's most popular flicks for kids right now. It's so popular, in fact, that songs from the film's fictional band are racing up the US pop charts. They recently surpassed Blackpink as the highest-charting female K-pop group! Dancing With The Stars 2025 cast. Credit: Nicholas Wilson / TheWest If you've not yet checked out this latest season, now's the perfect time. We're getting to the pointy end of the competition and things are getting serious. This week sees the first group of dancers return to the floor for another chance to impress the judges. With Rebecca Gibney now out of the comp, the trophy is anyone's to win! Great fun for the whole family. The girls dress as The Grannies in a Bluey episode titled Ghostbasket. Credit: Supplied / TheWest We couldn't have this list and not include Bluey — it's far and away the best thing on TV for kids. And let's face it, it's an absolute joy to watch as an adult as well. The best bit? You can 'set and forget' with this one, knowing your kids are well looked after by everyone's favourite Heeler family while you get those household jobs done. Wizz is front and centre in Do Not Watch This Show. Credit: Supplied / TheWest Got small people in your lives? Chances are they own at least one of Andy Lee's children's books. This series has been reimagined for television, and it sees everyone's favourite blue monster Wizz getting up to all sorts of adventures with his mates: a lime, a kiwi, a tortoise and a scientist. Goofy good fun. Ginger And The Vegesaurs screens on ABC Kids. Credit: Supplied Take a trip to Vegesaur Valley to hang with 'the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet'. This locally produced series about a group of fruit and vegetable dinos is super popular here and in the UK, where it racked up 48 million views on BBC iPlayer, leading the British broadcaster to come onboard as a producing partner for subsequent seasons. Silly and sweet — your new favourite. Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical is coming to Apple TV Plus. Credit: Supplied. This one's for all of us who grew up watching Charlie, Snoopy and the gang as kids. The classic cartoons are available to watch on Apple TV Plus, and it's heaps of fun to watch them again with your kids (who will probably be more than a little bemused by the decidedly lo-fi animation and simple plots). A new special, Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical, will hit screens on July 18.

Hailee Steinfeld Walks Down the Aisle to Marry Josh Allen in Gorgeous California Wedding

Hailee Steinfeld was photographed walking down the aisle to marry Josh Allen at their California wedding on Saturday, May 31 The actress wore a classic white strapless gown, veil and opera gloves to tie the knot with the Buffalo Bills quarterback The couple got engaged in a surprise proposal in Malibu, California, in November 2024While Josh Allen is usually the one throwing, this time he's making the ultimate catch! Actress Hailee Steinfeld was photographed walking down the aisle to marry the Buffalo Bills quarterback, 29, at their California wedding on Saturday, May 31. In photos of the nuptials, the bride can be seen wearing a white strapless wedding gown, accessorized with a long tulle veil and opera gloves. She styled her hair in a classic updo. The couple — who were first linked in May 2023 and debuted their relationship on Instagram in July 2024 — announced their engagement back in November. They shared the news via a joint Instagram post at the time, featuring a photo of the NFL player down on one knee in front of the Dickinson star, 28. From the looks of it, Allen went all out for the waterfront proposal, setting up a stunning, rose-adorned arch and dozens of candles. The pair captioned the post with the date of their engagement — Nov. 22 — and added two infinity symbols. Following the news that Allen had popped the question, a source told PEOPLE that the pair's families "were thrilled" that they had taken this next step in their relationship. "They've been head over heels from the start," the insider added. Steinfeld later shared details of the romantic proposal in a cover story for Who What Wear published on Feb. 19. She told the outlet that Allen caught her completely by surprise. When asked if she had any suspicions leading up to the proposal, she replied, "Oh my God, no! You talk to your girlfriends about that, right, where you're like, 'I just don't want to know.' " She said the romantic moment unfolded during a trip to Malibu, Calif., which she described as her "happy place." "It was magical," she said of the proposal. "That's the word." Steinfeld also praised Allen — who in March signed a new, six-year deal with the Bills worth $330 million — for making sure she was dressed for the occasion. "I'm so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we'll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I'm not looking at being like, 'What was I wearing?' " the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star joked to Who What Wear. In February, Allen and Steinfeld made their red carpet debut as a couple when they stepped out to the 14th Annual NFL Honors in New Orleans. During the ceremony, when Allen was named the league's 2025 Most Valuable Player, the pair shared a sweet kiss before the athlete went up to collect his trophy. In his acceptance speech, Allen gave a little shout-out to Steinfeld, telling her, "You've been my rock, you're my best friend. I would not be standing on the stage if it weren't for you." Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen are married

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen have gotten married. The 28-year-old actress and the Buffalo Bills quarterback were photographed walking down the aisle at a ceremony in California on Saturday (May 31). The couple were initially linked romantically back in 2023 and went on to announce their engagement in an Instagram post last November — although the NFL star's proposal caught Hailee by surprise. Asked if she suspected that Josh would pop the question, the Sinners star told Who What Wear: "Oh my god, no! You talk to your girlfriends about that, right, where you're like, 'I just don't want to know'." She added about the proposal: "It was magical. That's the word." Hailee was also delighted that Josh, 29, made sure that she was dressed appropriately for the occasion. She said: "I'm so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we'll have to cherish for the rest of our lives that I'm not looking at being like, 'What was I wearing?'" Josh recently described how he was really "proud" of Hailee following her starring role in the critically acclaimed horror movie Sinners. He said: "I'm so excited for her and so proud of her. "It's getting some great reviews and it's a fantastic movie, so go watch it." The quarterback is one of the top players in the NFL and signed a six-year deal with the Buffalo Bills worth $330 million (S$425.2 million) in March but is happy to let his sporting talents take a backseat to Hailee's acting success. Josh said: "I'm just there trying to support her in whatever way that I can. "That was her moment and I'm so glad she got to shine." Hailee had claimed in April that she was focusing on promoting Sinners — in which she plays the character Mary — before sorting out arrangements for her and Josh's wedding. The Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse star told Extra: "We are in the middle of a press tour. We got a movie coming out in 12 days? Six, something. We're focused on that." Steinfeld explained that she had learnt a lot about herself and her family during the making of the film, which is set in the south of the US during the 1930s. She said: "I would say I learned a lot about my myself through Mary and even more about my family history … I had so many amazing conversations with my mom about her family and about her dad, my grandfather, who is half black, who I wish every day — because of this movie and for so many other reasons — I could call and ask him all the questions, and I would absolutely do that if he were here."
