In what was probably one of the most heartwarming moments of 2024, Tatjana Smith was tipped R100 for an incredible performance at the Paris Olympics by fan Jackie van Staade.
Smith had just returned from the Olympics and was treated to a hero's welcome by the crowd assembled at OR Tambo on August 14, 2024.
Amid the excitement, IOL Sport's Michael Sherman managed to capture the special moment between Smith and Van Staade.
The video across the various social media platforms garnered over 1 million views, and it has inspired Van Staade to pay it forward.
