The media giant is bringing back the channels free of charge - giving punters more entertainment to choose from. Another channel that's coming back on screens is Sky Superman which is now branded Sky ScFi/HorHD. Viewers can access Sky Action by using the code 307/851 on satellite and 307 on Sky Glass/Stream. Sky Superman has launched to EPG number 311 on both satellite and Sky Glass/Stream. As part of regular refreshes, Sky Blockbusters, Sky Pitch Perfect and Sky Family are all disappearing. In their place will be Sky Hits, Sky Comedy and Sky Fantasy respectively. Punters can also flick on 11 more channels which include a range of content, including art, documentaries and sports. Advertisement Punters won't need to do anything to gain access to the channels, as the update will be made automatically. The fresh add-ons include popular BBC show Homes Under The Hammer. Sky Sports subscribers blocked from popular channels as major alert reveals the only way to get them back
SKY Sports subscribers were temporarily blocked from popular channels last night due to a strange tech glitch. Viewers who pay for the premium sports package were met with an unexpected message saying they were not a subscriber when trying to access the channels. 1 Warning message appeared on main screen of Sky Glass and Sky Stream Credit: Jamie Harris / The Sun The issue only hit A fix was quickly offered by the broadcaster, who put out a warning on the main screen of TVs. The message said: "If you're having issues watching Sky Sports, unplug your Sky device from power for 30 seconds and plug back in." Reports first emerged at 4pm on Wednesday, when one watcher wrote on Sky's forum that "all sky sports channels are saying that i need to upgrade to view this channel." Another commented: "This afternoon the sports, cricket, F1, golf have stopped on my stream service, with the message, you need to upgrade your subscription.? "I checked my products, I am paying for the sports pack, I can see the programmes on my phone using the app. "When I press the TV to upgrade the subscription it says I already have it!" Advertisement Paolo Pescatore, an expert for PP Foresight, told The Sun it is "highly unlikely" Sky will ever release a new satellite box "given the investment and timescales with the TV switch off that's around the corner". TV channel blunder as video game highlights of World Cup qualifier are broadcast Last year, Sky signed a contract extension with satellite operator SES that takes the service up to 2029. "Ultimately Sky would prefer to migrate all users onto its IP based products which in turn will lead to the end of Sky Q," Paolo said. "It is reliable, robust and serves customers needs.
