SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Lawmakers across the commonwealth continue to work on limiting the spread of forever chemicals. Now it is being discussed in our area.
Springfield City Council Health and Human Services chair, Brian Santaniello, will be holding a meeting on Wednesday for a pending legislation targeting the substance.
Forever chemicals, also known as 'PFAS,' are used in many consumer products and firefighter gear to make them water-resistant. These chemicals have been linked to various deadly diseases, including cancer.
