Spurs' Carter Bryant volunteered at a back-to-school event in San Antonio

A post shared by Spurs Way (@spursway) San Antonio Spurs rookie forward Carter Bryant was among the players who volunteered at a back-to-school event on Sunday, benefiting the local youth in the community. Bryant was joined by teammate Luke Kornet at the event, which assisted with school supplies, health screenings and enrollment. They were pictured passing out paper, binders, hats and other related materials while providing positive interactions with the children and adults in attendance. The offseason period is an excellent chance for incoming rookies to get to know their respective markets and communities. He also recently volunteered with Dylan Harper and Riley Minix by serving food at Haven for Hope, a homeless shelter. Bryant helped Arizona to the Sweet 16 last season, averaging 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and one assist on 37.1% shooting from 3-point range. He scored in double figures five times, including a season-high-tying 14 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks on Jan. 27. The 19-year-old logged six appearances with the Spurs in summer league, averaging 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.2 assists on 28.6% shooting from the field. He wrapped up his stay with a 16-point, five-rebound performance on July 17. Bryant appears to have ingratiated himself well within the local community after joining the organization in June. He has had the opportunity to give back and likely picked up some new fans along the way.
