If you go to the hospital in Japan, your doctor might be wearing a Pokémon coat and scrubs【Pics】

Medical apparel company expands Pokémon line and addresses a complaint from fans about the original design. Visiting a doctor's office can be a stressful experience. Nobody wakes up in the morning and says 'Wow, I feel great! Better get to a hospital ASAP,' so if you find yourself in one, odds are you're either dealing with some sort of injury or ailment, or at least need to get examined because there's a chance you might have one. It's for that reason that medical professionals' attire needs to be not only functional and resilient enough so that they can perform their duties, but also visually designed to help soothe patients' potentially frazzled nerves. And what, asks Japanese medical apparel company Classico, could be more comforting than the presence of Pokémon? Classico's newest doctor's coat design features no fewer than four Pokémon, all so iconic that fans will be able to easily identify them by silhouette alone. On the left sleeve, near the cuff, is Pikachu, and strolling across the front left pocket are original starter trio Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. In addition, the coat's buttons are styled like Poké Balls, and the Pocket Monster capture devices grace the lining fabric too. Classico has teamed up with Pokémon before this, designing sets of Pikachu and Gen-1 starter scrubs. As of this month, they're joined by Eevee and Snorlax, with the newcomers' fabric matching the image colors of their respective Pocket Monsters. The scrub bottoms have also been redesigned following feedback from customers. While they loved the Pokémon embroidery itself, they didn't like that it used to be on the pants' backsides, so that if you sat down, you were sitting on the poor Pokémon's faces. So to alleviate that sense of guilt, Classico has now moved the embroidery to the front, near the right hip. Both the doctor's coat and scrubs are unisex designs, available in sizes from extra-extra-small to extra-large. As professional-use items, they're priced higher than a Uniqlo Pokémon T-shirt, with the separately sold scrub top and pants each 11,990 yen (US$81) and the coat 32,890 yen. All of them can be ordered through the Classico online store (scrub top here, pants here, and coat here) by anyone, though. The scrubs actually look like they'd make pretty cozy roomwear sets too, and if you notice this icon on the order page… …don't worry, that's just to indicate that the material is static electricity-resistant, not that the garments create any sort of anti-Pikachu field. Lego and Pokémon announced on Tuesday that they have entered a multi-year partnership to bring "Lego Pokémon" to life in 2026. The announcement doesn't share details about the partnership, whether folks can expect Pokémon building sets; a Lego Pokémon video game; or limited edition playing cards, but fans have already begun to speculate. Instead, a short teaser video featuring a Pikachu tail made of Lego bricks bounces across the screen. "I need this, I need this," TikTok user Eric Bricks said in a video on Tuesday. "I can already see this theme selling like hot cakes. We know how crazy Pokémon fans are." With the news hot off the presses, here's what we know so far about the Lego and Pokémon partnership. As of Tuesday, Lego and Pokémon's announcement remains quite vague for what their "multi-year partnership" includes. Fans are encouraged to check in on the Lego Pokémon website for updates at Lego Pokémon will be released in 2026, the companies shared. No, Lego has not made Pokémon building sets before. Up until now, popular Pokémon buildable sets have almost exclusively been created and sold by Mattel under the company's Mega Bloks brand. Lego and Pokémon fans alike have taken to social media to share their excitement for the collaboration. "I have lost count of the amount of times people have asked me what my dream Lego theme would be and I always answer the same way: 'Pokémon. Give me Pokémon.' And it's finally happening," TikTok user Block Party UK said in a video sharing the news. TikTok user cjBricklz, a Lego ambassador, said he hopes the brands release each of the first generation Pokémon (think Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle) as brick-build characters. "I think those would be some amazing 18+ sets and I would spend hundreds on those," cjBricklz said in his video. The Pokémon collaboration isn't the first time Lego has dipped its toes in the video game waters. Over the years, Lego has released Super Mario Bros., The Legend the Zelda, Minecraft and Animal Crossing sets. Greta Cross is a national trending reporter at USA TODAY. I Made Some Realistic Crochet Pokémon Using My Generator — Think You Can Do Better?

Hot Topic 🔥 See what other people are creating on Make Yours Happy National Pokémon Day! I recently made a crochet generator, and tons of people have been using it to create crochet Pokémon — so, of course, I had to try it myself. In honor of this momentous holiday, I stitched together 15 Pokémon, and while some turned out adorable, others… not so much. Think you can do better? Let's find out! 1. Pikachu This was the easiest one to crochet, and honestly? It turned out perfect. No way you can top this — prove me wrong. 2. Bulbasaur 3. Squirtle Squirtle's got attitude, but my crochet version? Maybe a little too soft. I dare you to make a fiercer one! 4. Charmander 5. Eevee Honestly? This one came out adorable. The fluff, the ears — perfection. But hey, if you think you can make a cuter one, be my guest. 6. Snorlax This turned out pretty decent, but let's be real — Snorlax is all about the vibes. Can you make one that's even comfier? 7. Gengar I literally tried Gengar like 10 times, and I almost nailed the face… but the body? Yeah, that's another story. If you can fix this, I need to see it. 8. Clefairy I don't know what happened here, but my Clefairy came out completely armless. Maybe it's using Metronome to summon some hands? Either way, I need someone to fix this. You in? 9. Ditto 10. Slowpoke I don't even know what happened here. This is easily my worst one. Slowpoke deserves better — much better. Please, someone fix this. 11. Mr. Mime I thought Slowpoke was bad, but then I crocheted this nightmare. Mr. Mime was already creepy, but somehow, I made it so much worse. If you can fix this, you have my respect (and maybe my fear). 12. Cubone I mean… it tried. The little skull hat is kinda cute, but let's be real — it's not quite right. Cubone deserves better. Think you can perfect it? 13. Porygon Porygon is one of my all-time favorites, and this was the best I could do. But I know someone out there can make a better one. Prove me right! 14. Bellsprout This one turned out mostly okay … except for the extra legs. Not sure what kind of mutation happened here, but hey, maybe you can fix it? 15. Mew Last but maybe not least, I had to include a legendary, and honestly? Mew turned out pretty weird. Is it legendary-level crochet? Probably not. Think you can make it even better? Alright, I've shown you mine — now it's time to show me yours! Use my crochet generator, down below, to stitch up your own Pokémon, then drop your results in the comments. I wanna see if yours turn out better (or somehow worse) than mine… and yes, I will be judging.
