Tirupati: On the penultimate day as part of Sri Govindaraja Swamy annual Brahmotsavam, the Utsava deities atop the mammoth wooden chariot blessed devotees on Monday. Sridevi Bhudevi Sameta Sri Govindaraja Swamy marched with royalty along the streets of Tirupati. Later, Snapana Tirumanjanam was performed to deities. In the evening, Unjal Seva will be performed. Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, FACAO Balaji, Dy EO Shanti and others were present.

Hundreds of devotees on Monday witnessed 'Rathotsavam', the chariot festival, on the eighth day of the annual Brahmotsavam at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati. The 'Rathotsavam' started at 6.15 am at the temple premises, passed through Karnala Street, Beri Street, and Gandhi Road, and returned to the temple's ratha mandapam. A large number of devotees pulled the chariot chanting the name of Lord Govinda. According to the priests, human body is like a chariot, soul is the owner, wisdom is the driver, mind is the reins, senses are the horses, and the rest everything is compared to the streets. In this way, they explained the philosophy in the chariot festival by saying that the physical body is different from the subtle body, as well as the soul. From 10.00 am to 12 noon, Snapana Tirumanjanam ceremony was held for the utsav idols of Sridevi, Bhudevi, Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Nammalwar with milk, curd, honey, sandalwood, and various fruit juices. Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, officers from various departments of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), and a large number of devotees participated in the Rathotsavam.

These are three dollars, bearing the images of deities. The jewels were brought in a procession to the temple. Tirupati; The Garuda Vahana Seva of Sri Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati was held amidst rhythmic Vedic chants, colourful display of various artforms by reputed artistes and a huge gathering of devotees on the pleasant Friday. The procession moved majestically along the temple streets in a swift manner led by paraphernalia amidst gentle rain droplets. Braving inclement weather, a large number of devotees gathered to witness Sri Govindaraja Swamy on Garuda chanting Govinda, Govinda with utmost devotion. Both the senior and junior pontiffs of Tirumala, JEO Veerabrahmam, FACAO Balaji, DyEOs Shanti, Lokanatham, Somannarayana, SE Jagadeeshwar Reddy and others were present.
