There is a mafia of fanaticism behind ‘Dharmasthala conspiracy': Karnataka MLC CT Ravi

MANGALURU: There is a mafia of fanaticism behind the conspiracy against Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala. There is a conspiracy aimed at gaining mileage after faith is breached. Projecting someone as the culprit and creating public distrust even before the completion of the SIT probe into Dharmasthala mass burial cases is part of a conspiracy, said MLC C T Ravi . He was speaking to media persons at Dharmasthala during a rally organised by the BJP to extend the party's support to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade on Sunday. 'If Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has faith in the Constitution, respect for Dharmasthala, and the sentiments of devotees, he should form an SIT against the conspiracy,' said Ravi. Lauding the contributions of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, including the Annadana, medical aid, renovation of temples, etc., Ravi questioned whether these services were crimes. 'Targeting Dharmasthala temple, Dharmadhikari, and his family is a crime and it is part of a larger conspiracy. I would like to ask the chief minister why no action has been initiated against those who conspired to hurt the sentiments of lakhs of devotees. Let action be taken against them," he urged. The SIT probe should focus on both sides, including the background of the complainant witness, he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like People Aged 50-85 With No Life Insurance Could Get This Reassured Get Quote Undo 'Let the SIT investigate the powers that worked behind the complainant witness. The SIT has dug 18 - 20 feet in Dharmasthala. What have you found there? Didn't you realise at least now that there is a conspiracy? Those who hatched the conspiracy should be punished. Only this will satisfy the devotees of Dharmasthala," the MLC said. Stating that the BJP is not questioning the investigation, Ravi said that there is a need for a probe against those who have defamed Dharmasthala and Dharmadhikari. Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has already said that there is a 'conspiracy'. 'Do you have fear of disclosing what the conspiracy is? If you have no fear, then you have to reveal the politics and power behind the conspiracy. This is the right time to disclose the conspiracy,' Ravi said. Hebbalkar acknowledges conspiracy allegations against Dharmasthala

Udupi: Minister of women and child development and Udupi district minister Laxmi Hebbalkar said she acknowledges the statements made by deputy CM DK Shivakumar on the Dharmasthala mass burial allegations. On Shivakumar brushing aside the allegations of mass burials in Dharmasthala as a conspiracy to defame the temple, Hebbalkar told reporters here on Friday that she saw the statement made by DK Shivakumar in media. "We are all devotees of Dharmasthala Lord Manjunatha. The services of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade, including the social services through the temple and the 'anna dasoha' at the temple, are models for us. I also echo the statement made by the DCM," she said in reply to media queries. "Since a deep-rooted investigation is under way, only the home minister can speak about it. It will be a mistake on our part to speak with half-baked knowledge. However, I will support the DCM's statements on the floor of the legislature and outside about the conspiracy against Dharmasthala," Hebbalkar said. To a query on Shivakumar raising a suspicion of conspiracy even when the SIT was formed by the govt, Hebbalkar said there is a need for a full stop to the voices of support and opposition. "Those who are hatching conspiracy should know that there is nothing and it is just bogus. Further, the common man also should know the truth. Let us wait for the result of the investigation," the minister added. Speaking on the Sowjanya case, she said: "More than a minister, I'm a woman. There is nothing wrong in people seeking justice, if injustice was meted out to Sowjanya." Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI). VHP demands ‘careful' SIT probe to protect Dharmasthala

Bengaluru: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has issued a strong call to the state government, urging utmost caution to protect the sanctity of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and the religious sentiments of Hindus during the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into matters concerning the revered Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple in Beltangadi taluk, Dakshina Kannada. Emphasising the need for a thorough and transparent investigation, the VHP demands stringent punishment for those found guilty, while stressing that the government must ensure no disrespect is shown to the sacred site. Dharmasthala, a globally renowned spiritual centre, attracts millions of devotees annually from across the world, especially from Bengaluru to seek blessings of Sri Manjunatha Swamy. Specifically, the organisation referenced the 2012 brutal murder of Sowjanya in the Beltangadi police station limits, reiterating its demand for a comprehensive investigation and expressing support for all unbiased efforts in this regard. The VHP expressed outrage over recent claims by an anonymous individual alleging that hundreds of bodies were buried in Dharmasthala's forests 10-20 years ago, labelling such statements as part of a calculated conspiracy to defame the temple.
