Bengaluru: Even as his latest film continues to draw packed houses and enjoy box-office success, superstar Rajinikanth made an unannounced visit to Bengaluru, surprising his admirers once again. Without any publicity or prior information, the veteran actor travelled quietly to Basavanagudi and paid respects at the Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama. Thanmai gets centum in SSLC after revaluation
Mysuru: Thanmai MN, a student of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala, emerged as the state topper in the SSLC examination after securing a perfect score of 625 out of 625—a feat achieved following a successful revaluation. Initially, Thanmai scored 622 marks, with a one-mark shortfall in Kannada, social science, and science. Confident about his performance and supported by his teachers, he applied for a revaluation after reviewing photocopies of his answerscripts. The revaluation awarded him one additional mark in each of the three subjects, elevating his score to 625, said Swami Muktidananda, president of the Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama and principal TK Chandrasekhar. He said at the school premises that in recognition of his exceptional achievement, a special gold medal will be presented to Thanmai during the school's annual day celebration in Dec, which coincides with the school's centenary celebrations. Speaking to TOI, Thanmai expressed his gratitude: "From the very beginning, we were focused on the SSLC exams. With support from my teachers, and my parents' blessings, I was able to achieve this milestone. We had healthy competition among friends, and group discussions also helped us prepare better. A number of preparatory and round-the-clock monitoring from our teachers also played an important role." Thanmai plans to pursue commerce, with aspirations of joining the National Law School and later preparing for civil services. He credits his elder brother, Vihaan—also an alumnus of the same school who scored 623 in SSLC—as a key source of inspiration. A well-rounded student, Thanmai excels in both literature and sports. He has won numerous accolades in literary competitions and has also represented his school in chess and football at various levels. He, who hails from a Kodagu, is the son of MA Niranjan, president of the Kodagu Bar Association, and Sowmya. Principal TK Chandrasekhar, former principal Balaji, and Swami Yukteshanandaji also extended their congratulations to Thanmai.
