Doc-turned-seer of Telugu origin to head Courtallam peetham
Hyderabad: Doctor-turned-seer of Telugu origin Siddheshwarananda Bharati will be the pontiff of one of the big peethams in south India, Courtallam Sri Siddheshwari Peetham in Tamil Nadu. The anointment of Datteshwarananda Bharati Swami as chief pontiff will be conducted by current head of Courtallam Parivrajakacharya, Jagadguru Siddheshwarananda Bharati, at the Sri Siddheshwari Peetham in Courtallam, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu on June 6. Telangana secretary of Siddheshwari peetham, Munipalle Srinivas stated that the new pontiff, previously known as Dr Kadambari Aravind, left his profession as a doctor and medical officer in north India to pursue a spiritual path. Under the guidance of the peetham's priests, events would take place between June 2 and 6, including special morning rituals and worship of the peetham's deities, evening discourses, and the anointment ceremony. Events would be followed by a village festival service for the goddess in the evening. The peetham has hundreds of temples in the county and over 100 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Courtalam Peetham Uttaradhikari coronation event on June 6
The coronation rituals of Sri Datteshwarananda Bharati Swami as Uttaradhikari of Sri Siddeshwara Peetham in Courtalam in Tamil Nadu in the presence existing pontiff of Sri Siddheswari Peetham Jagadguru Sri Siddheswarananda Bharati Mahaswami will be held on June 6. Sri Siddheshwari Peetham secretary Srinivas Munipalle in a statement said that Sri Datteshwarananda Bharati Swami, who holds a MBBS degree, served as medical officer in northern India before he took Sanyasa Deeksha and earlier was known as as Dr Kadambari Aravind.
