Eluru Division to Launch Advanced Postal Technology Platform on July 22
In a significant move towards digital excellence and nation-building, the Department of Posts has announced the launch of the Next-Generation APT (Advanced Postal Technology) Application — a key milestone in its ongoing transformation journey.
Addressing the media on Friday, S. Srikar Babu, Superintendent of Post Offices, Eluru Division, stated that the upgraded digital platform will be rolled out across all post offices under Eluru Division on July 22 (Tuesday). To ensure a smooth and secure transition, a planned system downtime has been scheduled for July 21, 2025 (Monday).
'No public transactions will be available at post offices on this day, as essential activities such as data migration, system validation, and configuration will be carried out,' he explained. The new APT application has been designed to enhance user experience with faster service delivery, improved interface, and increased operational efficiency. It reflects the Department's commitment to offering smart, secure, and citizen-friendly services.
Customers are advised to plan their postal activities in advance and cooperate during this brief disruption. 'The inconvenience is regretted, but this initiative is a critical step in providing more digitally empowered and efficient postal services to every citizen,' Mr. Srikar Babu added.
