IIT-BHU sees record placements; 15 students bag over Rs1cr offer
Varanasi: Despite the global economic uncertainties, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), BHU here has witnessed an outstanding placement season in 2024–25, with over 1,373 job offers made so far, including four international placements.

According to Prof Sushant Kumar Srivastava, coordinator of the Training and Placement Cell, 15 students secured annual packages exceeding Rs 1 crore, while the highest offer stood at Rs 2.20 crore per annum. These top-tier packages were extended by leading multinational companies, reflecting the enduring industry trust in the institute's academic excellence, innovation-driven ecosystem and the high calibre of its students.
More than 300 companies visited the campus as part of the ongoing placement drive, recruiting students for roles across a wide range of sectors—including software development, analytics, finance, consulting, and core engineering.
"The results reflect our team's collective efforts and dedicated support to help students succeed. Our emphasis on readiness and resilience is empowering graduates to secure meaningful and impactful roles," said Prof the placement figures a major institutional milestone, IIT-BHU director Prof Amit Patra said, "As technology continues to evolve, we are constantly upgrading our curriculum to stay ahead of the curve.
