Glasgow shopping centre giving away £850 worth of vouchers

St Enoch Centre is offering the voucher giveaway to spend in the mall as part of the Glasgow850 celebrations, marking 850 years since the city became a burgh. To enter, shoppers must complete a form on the St Enoch Centre website at Entries close on August 14, and the winner will be announced on August 15. Shaun Rhodes, head of marketing at St Enoch Centre, said: "We wanted to do something really special to mark Glasgow850, and what better way than to reward our loyal customers with the chance to win £850 of vouchers from their favourite St. Enoch Centre brands. "This competition is a chance to celebrate Glasgow's 850-year legacy, and encourages people to get involved in the various initiatives being held in the city for the Glasgow850 campaign." The winner will be able to spend the vouchers at a range of top retailers and restaurants, including Pandora, Next, and Uniqlo. The prize also covers leisure venues within the centre, such as Boom Battle Bar, VUE Cinema, and Escape Hunt. Mr Rhodes said: "This is the biggest giveaway St. Enoch Centre has ever held, with £850 in vouchers up for grabs. "We're encouraging everyone who can to enter – you never know, it may be your lucky day." The prize breakdown includes £100 each for Level X, Boom Battle Bar, Escape Hunt, Pandora, and Uniqlo; £150 for the centre; £50 for Vue; and £50 each for Wagamama, Namaste, and Nando's.

Monterey Jack's will make a 'much-anticipated' return to the city centre later this month. The American-style eatery, known for its 'bold flavours', announced it will be opening a brand-new venue in the St Enoch Shopping Centre. Its new venue in the St Enoch Centre is expected to create around 20 jobs for the city. Bosses of the eatery revealed it is expected to open in late June. It comes after the firm closed its restaurant in the Merchant City in 2023. "Since closing our Merchant Square branch in 2023, we have had countless requests to return to the centre of Glasgow. St Enoch Centre staff raise funds for Street Soccer Scotland

St Enoch Centre employees took part in the Kiltwalk challenge to raise funds for Street Soccer Scotland, a social enterprise that delivers football-inspired training programmes to socially disadvantaged groups in Scotland. The team, made up of office personnel, security staff, and more, walked 23 miles from Glasgow Green to Balloch in support of the charity. Read more: Glasgow ranked as second most generous city in UK Vicky Colquhoun, St Enoch Centre office manager, who participated in the event, said: "We were proud to take part in this year's Mighty Stride to fundraise for our charity partner of the year, Street Soccer Scotland. "The Kiltwalk is one of Glasgow's most iconic events, and it was inspiring to walk alongside so many others taking on the challenge in support of their charity of choice." The team have created an online fundraising page, which is still available to donate to at (Image: Supplied) The St Enoch Centre is also expected to host a pop-up shop for Street Soccer Scotland later in the year. The shop will sell pre-loved football shirts and sports kit to raise money for the organisation's social programmes.
