St. Patrick's Day in the Finger Lakes: Events and pubs you won't want to miss

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner meaning it's time to bring out your best green outfits and a pot of gold to join in on the celebration. If you are still looking for events or plans to celebrate this festive holiday, the Finger Lakes has a handful of events and pubs to meet all your St. Patty's Day needs. Here are five St. Patrick's Day events and five Irish Pubs to check out in the Finger Lakes: St. Patty's Sip & Stroll Downtown Canandaigua: Downtown Canandaigua will host its St. Patty's Sip & Stroll on Saturday, March 15 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include an all-access wristband and passport which allows participants to enjoy multiple beverage and culinary tastings from local crafters. Participants will also be gifted a keepsake glass, and will have the opportunity to visit unique shops, wineries, breweries and galleries as they make their way through the passport route. A completed passport will give participants the chance to win $500 in Downtown Gift Certificates, according to the Canandaigua Business Improvement District. Location: Check-in for the event will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Central on Main, located at 111 South Main Street in Canandaigua, Ontario County. Tickets: Tickets can be purchased online for $20 through the Canandaigua BID website, There is a limited amount of tickets, but if they are not all sold out in advance, tickets may be sold at the door on the day of the event for $25. Details: You must be 21 years old or older to attend the event, and participants will be expected to show their IDs at check-in. Engine 14 Brewery's St. Patrick's Day Celebration: Engine 14 Brewery in Naples will hold its St. Patrick's Day Celebration on Saturday, March 15, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will include the brewery's third annual Beer Bong Tournament beginning at 3:30 p.m., food from Keuka Trail Farm Marker Mobile To Go starting at 4 p.m. and live music from Banned from the Tavern from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Location: Engine 14 Brewery is located at 52 West Avenue in Naples, Ontario County. St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner. The feast and traditional death date of St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland, the day has also become a major cultural holiday. People in the United States, and increasingly all over the world celebrate Irish culture, and it's also a big day for foods like corned beef and cabbage. Greater Fall River is no exception when it comes to those celebrations. Places all over the city, and beyond, are gearing up for their annual St. Patrick's Day celebrations. From the aforementioned corned beef and cabbage, to special drinks, breakfast, parties, a murder mystery dinner, and more, there's a whole lot planned for St. Patrick's Day this year. Just don't forget to wear green while you're out there celebrating: Although The Corky Row Club, 602 Third St., hasn't announced their St. Patrick's Day plans as of this writing, they consistently serve up favorites like corned beef and cabbage boiled dinners, and corned beef sandwiches. Their St. Patrick's Day celebrations are for all ages, and they recommend showing up early. Main St., Fall River, has Jameson cold brew for $5, now until St. Patrick's Day, available while supplies last. St. Patrick's Day: Celebrations in Mass. for every weekend of March Shorty's Pub, 87 Aetna St., Fall River, is hosting a St. Patrick's Day party on Sunday, March 16, starting at 2 p.m. Doors open at noon. Pink Granite will be performing. The St. James Irish Pub, 91 Purchase St., Fall River, will be hosting the Lions Club's annual Irish breakfast on Sunday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They'll be serving up a traditional feast of bacon, eggs, blood pudding, grilled tomato, and bread.
