Supreme Court Chief Justice Slams Trump's Call to Impeach Judge

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has issued a rare statement rebuking President Donald Trump for calling for the impeachment of a federal judge. 'For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,' Roberts, a conservative, wrote on Tuesday. 'The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.' The statement comes hours after Trump attacked U.S. District Judge James Boasberg on Truth Social for trying to block the administration from deporting Venezuelan migrants to an El Salvadorian prison without due process. Trump ranted that Boasberg is 'Radical Left Lunatic' who 'was not elected President,' before demanding he be impeached. 'This judge, like many of the Crooked Judges' I am forced to appear before, should be IMPEACHED!!!' Trump wrote on Truth Social. 'WE DON'T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT, AND DEMENTED CRIMINALS, MANY OF THEM DERANGED MURDERERS, IN OUR COUNTRY.' Trump and his advisers have been ramping up their attacks on the nation's court system as judges continue to block the president's executive orders and other actions, many of which appear to be unconstitutional. Miniature horse on the loose lassoed by Brownstown Township police

The owner of a miniature horse has claimed the animal after police in Brownstown Township, Michigan, found it walking in a residential neighborhood Monday evening. "St. Patrick's Day brings out some wild behavior so our night shift was on high alert for suspicious activity …well look who they caught creeping around one of our subdivisions," the department's social media post said. Police lassoed up the animal, and shared some photos and a video of the brown and white miniature horse after it was caught, saying "this guy had a little too much fun on St. Patty's Day."

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — When it comes to St. Patrick's Day, the City of Greenville does its best to go above and beyond, thanks to local businesses. There aren't many pubs in town, but Christy's Euro Pub made sure to be a hub for all St. Patty's Day festivities. They featured special menu items like corned beef and cabbage, as well as, Shepard's pie. 'For Christy's, it's very big here. We have a lot of people that come in from out of town, especially to come to Christy's for St Patrick's Day,' Manager Alyssa Gupton said. 'But also, all the community loves to come here Saturday, we actually had our big opening for the St. Patty's Day event. It started from about 11 a.m. and it didn't end until about 1 a.m. that night. So, it was quite a big thing.' The restaurant had their annual bash over the weekend and also opened their doors at 11 a.m. Monday. Shinnston hosts annual St. Patrick's Day parade honoring first responders

SHINNSTON, (WBOY) — Harrison County first responders took center stage Saturday as Shinnston rolled out its annual Saint Patrick's Day parade in their honor. Downtown Shinnston transformed into a sea of green, celebrating both the dedication of emergency personnel and the rich Irish heritage woven into the community. Spectators lined the streets, cheering as St. Patrick's Day-themed floats rolled by to the sounds of bagpipes and the rhythmic beats of Irish step dancers. Chief of the Shinnston Fire Department Matt Bartlett felt very honored at the event. 'St. Patty's Day has always been something big for Shinnston from the fire department for the town,' Bartlett said. 'A lot of the fire fighters in the past always celebrated a strong history with St. Patrick's Day.' The parade route kicked off at the Shinnston Bridge, winding through downtown toward Clarksburg and ending near Walgreens. Law enforcement officials, including the Shinnston Police Department, highlighted their strong collaboration with county sheriffs and area police departments, emphasizing their shared commitment to public safety. 'We're trying to keep continuously growing the department, it's hard to compete with everybody else's funds. We are now at three K-9's, we have two shepherds and a bloodhound,' Chief of the Shinnston Police Department Jon Harbert said. 'My shepherd within another year or so is going to be retiring due to his age and I have one of his sons that I've bred. And he will be taking over for dad at the point he gets trained.' Ireland, WV hosts 43rd annual Irish Spring Festival Parade Among the initiatives spotlighted was the department's growing K9 training program, which provides specialized training for police dogs from across the region. Officers noted that the program has expanded each year, with K9 units playing a crucial role in monthly drug seizures, thanks to coordinated efforts with the sheriff's department. 'It's an honor to be a part of the community and an honor to be a volunteer fireman. So, it's very cool to be able to give back to the community and be a part of this to get out there and show the people that we serve and just to support them,' Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny II said. 'What is nice about being a volunteer fireman is it's not only just for Shinnston but it's for the first dues around the area like Spelter, Hebzibah, we help out Marion County when they have a fire.' Councilman Rodney Strait of the City of Shinnston highlighted the dedication of the area's first responders, emphasizing the extensive training and effort required for their roles. YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A local company is making sure area first responders get a St. Patrick's Day meal. Read next: Chef's famous lobster fest back for St. Patty's Day Phantom Fireworks is once again treating Mahoning and Trumbull County first responders to corned beef sandwiches on Monday. It's the fifth year Phantom has partnered with Jeff Chrystal's Catering to provide emergency personnel with a free, festive meal. All they have to do is wear their uniform or bring an ID to identify them as an active duty first responder. 'It's important to us, as a company, as a family, to give back to these people who put their lives on the line,' said Ron Zoldan, vice president of Phantom Fireworks.
