Sanjay Dutt Surprises Fans With Unexpected Appearance At The Bhootnii's Screening

The Bhootnii, starring Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari and Sunny Singh, is the latest addition to Bollywood's horror comedy genre. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film premiered in theatres on Thursday, May 1, and the audience wasted no time in flocking to their nearest cinemas to watch the film with their loved ones, enjoying a time filled with equal parts horror and laughter. In a video shared on Instagram on Friday, May 2, people were seen in long queues outside a theatre, buying tickets to watch the horror comedy film on the first day. The next clip showcased a fully packed theatre, with the crowd clearly having a blast while watching The Bhootnii. Cheers, laughter, and delighted faces lit up the hall as the film played on screen. To take the hype around the film to the next level, the lead actor of the film, none other than Sanjay Dutt, decided to visit a theatre. Dressed in a crisp white shirt and blue jeans paired with stylish sunglasses, the actor was seen entering a theatre with his signature swag. Upon seeing him in the theatre, the moviegoers broke out into thunderous applause and cheers. Sanjay Dutt's face immediately lit up upon seeing the love. Standing alongside the film's producers, the 65-year-old took the microphone and greeted the viewers. In his brief speech, the actor hoped that the audience liked The Bhootnii. He said, 'Mujhe umeed hai ki aap sabko pasand aayi picture. Mazza aaya? Enjoy kijiye picture apni families ke saath (I hope everyone liked the movie. Did you enjoy it? Do enjoy the picture with your families)." The actor ended his brief interaction, saying, 'Thank you, everybody, and I love you all. Har Har Mahadev." Following this, he posed with the moviegoers and obliged for photos. At the end of the video, Sanjay Dutt was seen taking a big group selfie with all the viewers who were present in the theatres to celebrate the release of The Bhootnii. The Bhootnii is set on the premises of St. Vincent College. The college has a Virgin Tree, which awakens every Valentine's Day in search of true love, haunting students with terrifying obsessions. As chaos spreads, a paranormal expert is summoned, who faces a supernatural force unlike anything he had encountered before. Pittsburgh Steelers kick off Girls Flag Football season in Westmoreland County
The Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off their annual Girls Flag Football season this weekend. Athletes from six local high schools and seven colleges met up at St. Vincent College in Westmoreland County to compete in two games each on Saturday. This week, Jeannette, McKeesport, Plum, Penn Hills, Woodland Hills, and Gateway participated. Advertisement What started as a club sport in Southwestern Pennsylvania has now grown to include over 50 high schools. 'Girls have been playing football and flag football for years and years. It's been in communities but it's never been official; they've never been able to put on their school jersey, whether it's a high school or college jersey. Now, they have that opportunity to compete,' said Senior Manager of Alumni Relations and Youth Football Mike Marchinsky. The Steelers have contributed more than $250,000 to develop Girls Flag Football in Western Pennsylvania. The money helps pay for uniforms, travel, coaches and athletic trainers. Bishop McCort alum gifts $1M to alma mater
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – For the second time in three years, Bishop McCort Catholic High School graduate Bernard Skubak has donated $1 million to his alma mater. The school announced the 'transformative' news Tuesday with Chief Academic Officer and Principal Thomas Smith stating how appreciative he is that Skubak 'stepped up.' 'He believes in what we're doing here,' Smith said. 'He not only tells us that, but shows us that.' The boost in funding will be used in every facet of the parochial school from assisting students and staff to facilities and more. 'That is transformational for our school,' Smith said. 'The impact that type of donation has on a school like ours is absolutely amazing.' Skubak recognizes how powerful this donation is, and is happy to provide it. 'I am delighted to continue my longstanding support of Bishop McCort and Catholic education in Johnstown,' he said in a statement. 'It is vitally important that students in the region have access to a faith-based school that emphasizes scholarship, service and spiritual development.' The $1 million gift puts Bishop McCort's Centennial Capital Campaign, which is beginning its second phase, at nearly $4 million. There's a goal of $6 million for the multiyear fundraiser, and the total stands as of Tuesday at $3.7 million, including both of Skubak's donations. The 1969 alum provided his first million-dollar contribution to McCort in January 2022 after getting to know Smith and seeing how successful the school has been, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Receiving the support of Skubak is a 'great motivator,' Smith said. He added that knowing someone such as Skubak, who has been successful in life and business, believes in the mission of McCort is reassuring. After graduating from Catholic school, Skubak earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from St. Vincent College in Latrobe and moved to Columbus, Ohio, in 1973. He has been employed in the accounting, oil and natural gas, and real estate fields throughout the past five decades, and enjoys sharing his success. When he made the first $1 million donation to McCort, he said he had been searching for a cause to gift larger amounts to, and during a trip to his hometown at the time, his alma mater became a focus of his attention. In total, there have been 345 gifts from alumni, business leaders, parents and others to McCort's capital campaign throughout the past four years. The centennial drive is dedicated to assisting with developing endowed support for faculty and student retention, capital improvements, student experiences and curricular upgrades.
