St. Vito's gets Chicago treatment in collab with PIZZ'AMICI
Two great American pizza makers are coming together for a one-night-only collaboration Thursday night.
The latest: Chicago's PIZZ'AMICI welcomes Nashville's St. Vito's Focacceria for a pop-up in West Town.
Zoom in: St. Vito's is famous in Nashville for Sicilian squares, which is in stark contrast to PIZZ'AMICI's stock and trade — tavern-style thin crust pizza.
Zoom out: The two pizza purveyors are both celebrated and respected in their cities.
PIZZ'AMICI owner Cecily Federighi and her crew have taken Chicago by storm after returning from their venture in the western suburbs, while St. Vito's was named one of the best new restaurants in the country by Esquire in 2024.
What they're saying: "We've been scheming this pop-up with St. Vito's ever since we met at the first Pizza City Fest in Chicago," Federighi tells Axios. "It's been years in the making, and we're stoked to finally bring Michael Hanna's Sicilian Squares to PIZZ'AMICI."
