Police arrest St. Johnsbury shooting suspect
BERLIN, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The Berlin Police Department arrested the suspect in a May 6 shooting that took place on Concord Avenue in St. Johnsbury. Vermont State Police announced Wednesday that they had obtained an arrest warrant for Ladjuan Anthony Guichard, 27, in connection with the shooting of 30-year-old Adam Belliveau, and told the public that they should consider him 'armed and dangerous'. Police officers then received a tip from a caller that Guichard was in a rental car on the Barre-Montpelier Road/U.S. Route 302. Police stopped the car on the road in Berlin and arrested Guichard and a companion, Kayla Keithan, 27, of St. Johnsbury. She was charged with being an accessory after the fact and will be arraigned Monday. Guichard was jailed without bail at the Northeast Regional Correction Facility and is due for arraignment on Friday. St. Johnsbury man charged with kidnapping
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – State police arrested a man in the early hours of Monday morning after he reportedly fled with a young child. According to Vermont State Police, they were investigating a report of a domestic fight that happened on Sunday and found that Robert Cennami, 42, of St. Johnsbury, had been involved in a 'physical altercation with a family member'. Cennami then left the house with one of two young children present. He was found about 2:00 a.m. on Monday and taken into custody; the child was not injured. He is being charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault and one count each of kidnapping, cruelty to a child, interference with emergency services, and reckless endangement. Man hospitalized after St. Johnsbury shooting
Police say they are in the preliminary stages of their investigation into a shooting Tuesday afternoon in St. Johnsbury. Vermont State Police said a 912 caller reported at about 2:20 p.m. that a man had been shot at residence on Concord Avenue. No one is in custody. Few other details are available. Police say the man shot has been hospitalized. The extent of his injuries is unknown. Troopers said the name of the injured man will be released following notification of relatives and further investigation. Detectives ask that anyone who might have information call the Vermont State Police in St. Johnsbury at 802-748-3111.
