ITV This Morning viewers distracted by Star Wars legend Mark Hamill's appearance
Mark Hamill is well known for playing Luke Skywalker in the legendary film series Star Wars
This Morning viewers were left distracted by Star Wars star Mark Hamill 's appearance as he discussed his latest TV project.
The actor, 73, is well known for playing one of the most iconic characters in sci-fi history as he took on his famous role as Luke Skywalker in the legendary film series.
After playing the character for many years, he is now set to star in the new movie Life of Chuck alongside Tom Hiddleston, who plays the eponymous Chuck Krantz. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Karen Gillan will also appear in supporting roles.
During Tuesday's (August 19) episode of the ITV hit chat show, hosts Sian Welby and Craig Doyle were joined by the actor as he discussed his latest TV project.
However, as expected, the conversation soon turned to Star Wars, as Mark admitted that he originally thought the film was a parody after getting his script.
Craig pointed out, 'When you went into that on the first read of that movie with Harrison Ford, you thought it was a parody of some sort of Sci-Fi movie.
He explained: 'The thing is I didn't get the full script, I was going to do the screen test and there were only 8 pages and I was thinking 'who talks like this?' so I asked Harrison 'is this some sort of paradise?'
'Do you know what he said?' Imitating Harrison's voice, he went on: 'Hey kid, let's just get it done.' He was no help at all.'
He continued, " Harrison was the leading man to me, so I just assumed he was the leading character and I was his annoying psychic.
"Then I got the movie and they sent me the script and I realised 'oh my God it's from my point of view' which was really unusual to talk from a teenage point of view.'
But This Morning viewers watching at home were more focused on Mark's appearance. They wasted no time sharing their reaction on social media and praising the star.
One viewer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: 'Great guest Mark Hamill. #ThisMorning.' Another commented: '#ThisMorning he still looks good even now.'
A third said: '#This Morning was a great interview with Mark Hamill.' One commented, 'Mark Hamill. What a great guest #ThisMorning.'
Meanwhile, another added: '@MarkHamill is definitely a Hollywood legend and still looks handsome as ever #Thismorning.'
