Set to launch in 2026, the Staria EV will make history being Hyundai's first electric minivan. Similar to the current model, it will be available in several different configurations, including cargo, passenger, and even a camper version, reports Electrek. While technical details are yet to be revealed, recent photos have provided a look into the new motor's exterior design. First look at design features The front of the car is topped by an LED light bar with low slung headlamps, similar to that of the new Tuscon. The MPV is also complete with LED headlights. While it is currently unclear, the electric version seems to be roughly the same size as the current Staria from the side, but slightly wider from the front. CarMagazine reports: "Some markets will have space for up to 11 passengers, but the majority of Starias for Europe will be seven-seaters." The vehicle is also expected to come equipped with a 10.25 inch touch screen for the multimedia functions and ample storage. Motorists also anticipate there to be a scalloped-out section on the passenger side to allow even more space. Minivan expected to debut next year According to Electrek, a Staria EV was spotted in a car park in Korea earlier this year. The electric version bore a striking resemblance to the Staria Lounge, but with the addition of a charging port and closed-off grille. The EV mini van is anticipate to make its debut later this year. This comes after The Sun reported that Ford plans on a releasing a new EV, to hit markets by 2027. The cars are being created using a "revolutionary" process following a three-year project. This scheme allows the cars to boast enough energy to "power a house for six days", according to the boss of the company. Ford is releasing the Universal EV Platform for a mid-size, double-cab pick-up truck that will be on sale in 2027, priced at $30,000 (£22,000). While the new EVs will be built at Ford's Louisville plant in the US, the vehicles are expected to be offered globally.
