Minister of Culture Announces Winners of Egypt's 2025 State Appreciation Awards

The meeting was attended by prominent intellectuals, academics, and heads of cultural bodies and artistic unions. The results recognized a group of distinguished figures who have made significant contributions to Egypt's cultural and intellectual landscape. In the Arts category, the award went to: • Theatre director Shaker Abdel Latif, • Visual artist Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen, and • Cinematographer Sameer Farag. In the Literature category, the winners were: • Poet Ahmed El-Shahawy, • Scholar Dr. Khairy Douma, and • Writer Fatma El-Maadoul. In the Social Sciences category, the award was granted to: • Dr. Anas Gaafar, • Dr. Mohamed Sameh Amr, • Dr. Mona Haggag, and • Dr. Nevine Mossad. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanou emphasized that these awards represent one of the highest forms of national recognition granted by the Egyptian state.
