St Joseph's AFC has been left devastated by the sudden loss of Ste Kelly, remembered as a 'one-off' legend of the club
THE Dublin football community has been left devastated following the passing of a much-loved coach.
Stephen Kelly, who was a St Joseph's AFC stalwart, passed away leaving the club, friends, and family heartbroken.

The Sallynoggin-based club took to social media as they posted a touching tribute to their club legend after his passing at Blackrock Hospice.
A statement also offered condolences to Stephen's wife and children after the heartbreaking news.
The Facebook statement read: "The shock of Ste Kelly's untimely passing has left all at St Josephs AFC numb.
"Our Deepest sympathies to his wonderful wife Cathy & sons Nathan & Luke and to the extended Kelly family.

"Ste will be remembered by all who knew him for all the many things that made him stand out from the ordinary.
"His extraordinary ability to engage, amuse & entertain enabled him to connect with Football players, young and old in order to get the very best out of themselves.
"Storyteller, Court Jester, Air Guitarist, Wannabe Rock Star, Leeds United fanatic, Elvis impersonator, mental health advocate, Footballer, Football Manager, Team Coach, All round entertainer, Family Man, Ste was a one off.
"His energy & enthusiasm was contagious and his innovative ways of coaching players will have left many of them with lasting memories of his words & deeds and how enjoyable he made the game for them.

"We will all miss him terribly, and to Kathy & Boys, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Keep on Rockin in the Free World Ste."
Kelly's passion for football stretched far beyond the touchline.
He was also known as a gifted motivator and an innovator in coaching, he inspired countless young players to enjoy the game and believe in themselves.
