Teaching awards for two University of Southampton staff members
Two University of Southampton educators have received National Teaching Fellowships for their significant contributions to higher education.
Economics lecturer Dr Stefania Paredes Fuentes and Professor Bryony Whitmarsh from the arts and humanities faculty were honoured by Advance HE.
Dr Paredes Fuentes said: "I am honoured to receive this award which recognises the value of investing in evidence-informed economics education."
Professor Whitmarsh added: "I'm honoured to have been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in recognition of my work in internationalisation, which promotes social responsibility and social justice."

The National Teaching Fellowship Scheme celebrates individuals who have significantly impacted student outcomes and the teaching profession in UK higher education.
Dr Paredes Fuentes highlighted the need for an inclusive and relevant economics education, while Professor Whitmarsh emphasised her efforts in reducing participation barriers for underrepresented groups.
The University of Southampton was among the top ten Russell Group universities in this year's National Student Survey results, which noted an increase in student satisfaction.
