'The Bold and the Beautiful' Is 'Rewriting' a Legacy Character and It's 'Pissing' Fans Off

'The Bold and the Beautiful' Is 'Rewriting' a Legacy Character and It's 'Pissing' Fans Off originally appeared on Parade. The Bold and the Beautiful fans are speaking out after painful scenes involving a legacy character. Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was not acting like himself in recent scenes on the CBS soap. After months of being off-screen, Bill returned and was a shell of himself, letting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Hope (Annika Noelle), and Taylor (Rebecca Budig) rip into him. It was not the Dollar Bill Spencer fans know, that's for sure.X was on fire, with The Bold and the Beautiful fans ranting about the way the legacy character is being written on the show. 'The original Dollar Bill Spencer is gone. The writers officially ruined him to prop,' wrote an X. Another X read, 'Why are the writers rewriting history. Bill loves his children. These scenes today are ridiculous.' A different fan declared, 'This is really pissing me off…I can't #Bill Spencer would never take this from would knock him down to get to his son!!!' One fan asked, '#BoldandBeautiful Will the real Dollar Bill Spencer please stand up and tell all these losers to F off.' #BoldandBeautiful Will the real Dollar Bill Spencer please stand up and tell all these losers to F off — Suzan (@SuzanH01) July 14, 2025 There was an X that read, 'First of all, @BandB_CBS ✍️ why in the h--l's 🔔 is $Bill seeking permission from a waffling, cheating dressmaker, to see his son?! Knock his a-- out of your way, $Bill go to the nurses station, and ask to see your kid.' A fan wondered, 'Where are they coming up w this narrative w Bill???' One fan called what was happening with Bill 'gross' and hopes he 'cusses' Hope (Annika Noelle), Steffy, Ridge, Taylor, and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) out. 'DD's acting was incredible & before I loved to hate Bill Jr. I don't recognize Bill anymore. Some of the actors don't want to come back ´cause the writing of their characters is a disgrace. I wouldn't be mad if DD left, seeing as how his character became a flop,' insisted a fan on X. DD's acting was incredible & before I loved to hate Bill Jr. I don't recognize Bill anymore. A fan shared on X, 'Bill character deserved tongue lashings today. He got Luna released & pardoned then suddenly kicked vulnerable Luna to curb to fend for herself. Bill said hateful things to son Liam (far beyond constructive criticism) that he can't take back. Bill=jerk.' Now that Bill knows that Liam (Scott Clifton) has a brain tumor, The Bold and the Beautiful fans should see more of the character. Here's hoping the real Bill returns to save his son, not the sap we saw the past few days. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: Bill's plan for Liam?

When Bill arrived at the hospital in the July 11 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, he was shocked to discover how angry everyone was at him when all he wanted to do was to see Liam. This week's spoilers reveal that he'll be stealing Liam away from the hospital, but why? What causes him to take action? What's his plan, and will he end up helping or hurting Liam in the long run? Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) got the shock of his life upon showing up at the hospital. He'd been alerted that Liam (Scott Clifton) was shot, but he wasn't expecting to learn that Luna (Lisa Yamada) was responsible for it. He was immediately met by a hostile Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who wanted Bill to know that none of this would have happened if he hadn't pulled strings to get Luna released from prison. All Bill wanted was to see his son. He was shocked and devastated to learn he'd been shot — and he still has no idea that his son was already dying from an inoperable brain tumor. In this week's spoilers, it is revealed that Liam goes under the knife again, this time with Grace (Cassandra Creech). By Thursday's episode, Bill 'whisks an unconscious Liam away from the hospital' and that's that. Now, given that Finn (Tanner Novlan) was the one to remove the bullet when Liam initially arrived at the hospital, we have to wonder whether Grace's operation is tied to the brain tumor and that's the reason Bill decides to continue Liam's care elsewhere. Dollar Bill clearly has a plan here — it's not like he's making a decision to care for Liam at home because that would be foolish. It seems like Bill may have learned about his son's condition (probably through Hope, who was urging Liam to tell Bill) and then he made some calls to find out where his son could receive the best care. And then, regardless of medical advice, he made the decision to move Liam to wherever he needed to be to get the best care possible. Bill is known for being impulsive. It didn't help learning that his son was injured because of a decision he made to try to help Luna, but instead of admitting he was wrong, he's going to focus on doing whatever he can to fix things. And helping his son to survive is the first order of business. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and the following day on Paramount Plus. What Happened Today on Bold and the Beautiful July 8: Three Shots Rang Out

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, July 8 saw Luna's shady plans going wrong over and over. First, Sheila took a bullet, then Liam, and then Luna got what she deserved. Luna (Lisa Yamada) lucked out and won her tussle against her grandma. Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) fell to the ground wounded by rogue bullet – thankfully, only her foot was injured. Once Sheila collapsed, Luna raised her gun and pointed it straight at Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Despite staring down the barrel, Steffy jumped into action to take care of the She-Devil and grab her phone to call for help. A move that angered Luna. She ordered Steffy to put down the cell, or else! WATCH THIS: Did you know SoapHub has a podcast?! Check it out here! Luna began ranting and rambling about Steffy ruining her life. All she wants is to be with Finn (Tanner Novlan) but Steffy is stopping him from being near her. She begged Steffy to give her even a teeny tiny bit of access to her dad, despite her crimes and chaos. Steffy pointed out the gun in her hand at that very minute. Steffy made it clear Luna was going to prison for a long time and swore that Luna would never see Finn again. That was enough to have Luna ready to pull the trigger. All the while, Liam (Scott Clifton) called Hope (Annika Noelle) to check in and she expressed her love for him (as a friend, of course) and told him she never wanted to lose him. He promised he's not going anywhere. At least not anytime soon. They then cemented plans for Liam to roller skate with their daughter the next day before getting off the phone. Hope hung up as Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) came into the design room. She melted into his arms and cried about Liam's impending death. Carter held her while the tears flowed. Hope is grateful for her time having Liam in her life but they are losing him way too soon. Hope mourned the future Liam isn't going to get while Carter reminded her that's not what Liam wants. He wants them all to hold onto the good memories instead of all the what-ifs. MORE: Find out what's coming up next on B&B! Meanwhile, Finn was at the hospital talking through his feelings with Li (Naomi Matsuda). He couldn't stop wondering how his daughter would have turned out had he been given the chance to be her dad and help raise her. But, alas, what's done is done and his daughter is way too far gone. The only hope they had was that her life after Los Angeles would be good for her. With that, Li left to see a patient and Finn texted Steffy. He then finally decided to listen to Sheila's most recent message. Finn attempted to call her back but obviously, Sheila wasn't going to answer. No sooner did he hang up, though, Liam called and the men decided that if Sheila was worried about Luna this was bad. Very bad. They decided Liam would run up to the Beach House to check on Steffy and make sure all was well. Liam walked in to see Steffy staring down the barrel of Luna's gun and immediately jumped into action. He wrestled with Luna and once again, the gun went off. And, once again, it wasn't Luna who suffered the consequences of her actions. Unlike Sheila, though, Liam was gravely injured with a shot to the chest. That didn't stop him from fighting back, though. Sheila created a distraction for a hot second and Liam snatched the gun out of Luna's hands and pointed it straight at her. Unlike Luna, though, he didn't hesitate to fire the shot. 'I'm a dead man anyway,' he said seconds before taking Luna out. Finn arrived mere seconds after Liam took the shot. The good doctor looked around the room at his wounded mother, his unconscious and bleeding long-lost daughter, and his fatally injured friend. He ran to save Liam while Steffy called 9-1-1 for help. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: Is Luna's death hiding a bigger secret & can Bill's plea save Liam in time?

Tensions will run high at the hospital as Bill Spencer shows up in The Bold and the Beautiful, desperate for answers after hearing about Liam's shooting. But he's immediately stopped by Steffy, Ridge, and Taylor. Despite Steffy holding him responsible for Liam's condition, she doesn't actually have the authority to block Bill's visit. Bill's emotional pleas fall on cold ears, but ultimately, whether or not he sees Liam may come down to who's on Liam's visitor list—and Bill might still make the cut. Li's strange statement raises doubts While grief is in the air, Li Finnegan delivers a sharp reaction to Poppy Nozawa's shocking comment about her daughter's death. Poppy's indifference stuns Li, who remarks that with a mother like that, Luna never had a real shot at life. But what's even more puzzling is Li's claim that Luna died during recovery. Those watching closely know that when Bridget exited the operating room, Luna was still alive—and Li was there. What happened in between? Why would Li hide the truth? Hope and Steffy pray, but is Grace playing a game? In a rare show of unity, Hope Logan and Steffy pray together, hoping Liam regains consciousness. It's a touching moment between two longtime rivals. But while the hospital room is quiet, questions swirl outside it. Steffy nearly told Ridge about Liam's brain tumor, but Bill's arrival stopped her. Meanwhile, Grace Buckingham is acting pushy about Liam accepting treatment, even while being distracted by strange messages and behaving oddly when Finn stepped in to perform surgery. Is there a tumor at all? Or is Grace being manipulated by someone pulling the strings? As lies surface and trust breaks down, the biggest danger in The Bold and the Beautiful might not be what's said—but what isn't.

Is Steffy Leaving 'The Bold and the Beautiful'?

Is Steffy Leaving 'The Bold and the Beautiful'? originally appeared on Parade. The Bold and the Beautiful is once again setting Steffy (Jacqueline McInnes Wood) up to become one of Luna's (Lisa Yamada) victims. Finn (Tanner Novlan) doesn't want Luna in his life, while Luna blames Steffy for the way her father feels. For weeks, Luna has been plotting revenge against Steffy, becoming more unhinged each her grandma Sheila (Kimberlin Brown Pelzer) couldn't get through to Luna. And soap fans know it's bad when Sheila is trying to be the voice of reason. The CBS soap seems to be setting the stage for Steffy to be off the canvas for a while. There's a good reason for it, though, as Wood is taking maternity leave. The actress is pregnant with her fifth child and will be off the show for a while. July sweeps are in full swing, so The Bold and the Beautiful fans can expect Steffy to make her exit this month. However, that doesn't mean something bad will happen to the character. Sheila learned from Remy (Christian Weissmann) that Luna has a gun and figured out Luna was going after Steffy. All signs point to Sheila assisting in Steffy's rescue. The question remains when and how it will play into Wood's maternity exit. Make sure to keep watchingThe Bold and the Beautifulto see the climax of Luna's pursuit of Steffy.
