Influencer Who Sold Fart Jars Plans To Move Abroad After Breakup With US Senator: ‘I Do Not Feel Safe'

She didn't name the senator, but her comments suggest he is affiliated with the Republican party. Stephanie Matto, a social media influencer and former reality TV star, says she is preparing to leave the US out of fear for her safety. Known for once selling her farts in jars, Matto has now revealed that her decision to move is linked to a breakup with a US senator she was involved with for over a year. In a video shared on Instagram earlier this month, Matto said she no longer feels safe in the country and plans to move to the Czech Republic. 'This is my last video I'm making in response to my relationship with a US senator," Matto said on Instagram. She went on to explain what kind of relationship it was, saying, 'It's an online relationship where he pays me lots of money to watch me eat food." Matto said they had been romantically involved for the past year and a half. She had first gone public about the senator last year and revealed details of their online arrangement. At the time, many accused her of fabricating the story for publicity. But Matto has continued to stand by her claims. Over the months, she dropped hints about his identity and she believes that led people to figure out who he was. 'It kind of sent this man into a tailspin," she continued. According to Matto, the situation grew more serious when threats reportedly extended to her family. She said there were warnings of deportation aimed at her loved ones though she didn't go into further detail. On top of that, she claimed the senator hired a company to try and remove all content from the internet that linked him to her. 'Not to mention he sent me 3 cease and desist letters from his lawyers," she added. Matto said the pressure was especially high during the election period. She admitted she came close to revealing his identity at the time. 'Honestly during the elections, I was so close to leaking his name," she said. But she held back out of fear. 'I was fearing for my life and my family's safety, so I chose to wait until after the election to see which political party would be in power," she said. Now, with the elections over, Matto has decided to leave the country. 'In the next month or so, I'm going to the Czech Republic and seeking some alternative living options because I do not feel safe right now," she said. 'Everybody is wondering if this story is real, I have one thing to tell you – I know that in the online eating food community, I am not the only person who has dealt with this person and I know that some of these people are not afraid to come forward," she concluded. Matto didn't name the senator but her comments suggest he is affiliated with the Republican party. First Published:

Influencer Who Sold 'Fart Jars' Plans To Leave US After Breakup With "Powerful Senator"

Stephanie Matto, the influencer who once made headlines for selling her farts in a jar, has now announced plans to leave the United States, citing fears for her safety following a breakup with a "powerful" senator. In a video shared on Instagram earlier this month, Ms Matto said she no longer feels safe in the country and intends to move to the Czech Republic to seek "alternative living options." The influencer, who also appeared on reality TV, claimed she has received multiple legal threats linked to her relationship with the unnamed senator. Ms Matto first revealed her connection with the senator last year, alleging that he paid her large sums of money to watch her eat on camera. Despite facing accusations of fabricating the story for publicity, Ms Matto has consistently maintained her claims. In her latest video, posted on April 8, she said she had received three cease-and-desist letters from the senator's lawyers demanding she stop speaking publicly about their relationship. "For the past year and a half, I've been romantically involved with a US senator," Ms Matto said. "If you're wondering what the relationship entailed, it was an online arrangement where he paid me to watch me eat." She added that after dropping several hints, many of her followers managed to guess the senator's identity - an outcome that, she claims, led to escalating threats. Matto alleged that the senator hired a firm to scrub mentions of him from her social media, and that her family was threatened with deportation. ‘Fart jar' influencer says she's leaving US after dating a powerful senator: ‘Don't feel safe'

Stephanie Matto, the influencer who made a business bottling and selling her farts, has now revealed her plans to leave the United States over a romantic entanglement with a senator gone sour. In an Instagram post shared earlier this month, Matto said she no longer feels safe in the country and fears for her family's wellbeing. Matto had first spoken about dating a US senator last year. In several posts since her bombshell announcements, she claimed that the senator – whom she has never named – paid her thousands of dollars to eat on camera. She has been accused several times of lying for clout, but the influencer and reality TV star has stuck to her story. In her video dated April 8, Matto said she has received three 'cease and desist' letters from the US senator for speaking about their relationship in public. She claims that she will now leave the US, go to the Czech Republic and seek 'alternative living options' as she fears for her life. Matto also claimed that this would be her last video on the senator. 'This is my last video I'm making in response to my relationship with a US senator. And if you guys are wondering what this relationship with the senator entails, it's basically an online relationship where he pays me lots of money to watch me eat food,' the influencer behind the now-famous 'fart jars' explained. 'For the past year and a half, I've been romantically involved with a US senator,' she said, adding that many people managed to guess the senator's identity using the clues she has dropped. The fact that so many people guessed his name 'sent this man into a tailspin', claimed Matto, adding that he began to threaten her family with deportation. Matto claims that the senator even hired a company to try and take down all content about him from her social media profiles. 'Not to mention he sent me 3 cease and desist letters from his lawyers,' she said. A post shared by Stephanie Matto (@stepankamatto) The influencer said she began to fear for her life and waited for the election to see whether the senator's party would come into power. With the elections now over, Matto plans to leave the United States, indicating that the senator is a Republican. 'Honestly during the election I was so close to leaking his name,' she said, claiming that several journalists reached out to her. 'But as you guys might guess, I was fearing for my life and my family's safety, so I chose to wait until after the election to see which political party would be in power. 'In the next month or so, I'm going to the Czech Republic and seeking some alternative living options because I do not feel safe right now,' she said.
