Sterlite Electric secures ₹1,500 crore in Q1 orders
Sterlite Electric
, formerly known as Sterlite Power Transmission, on Tuesday said it has secured new orders worth ₹1,500 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2026, reports PTI.
This strong start to the year is largely attributed to a surge in demand from
green energy projects
and a robust performance in international markets, it added. The company reported that the new orders reflects sustained demand for its advanced conductors, power cables, and Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) products.
These products are being used in critical infrastructure segments, including high-performance conductors for green energy corridors, advanced medium and
high-voltage power cables
, medium voltage covered conductors, and OPGW for digital-ready grids.
In addition to green energy projects, the company has also secured orders for reconductoring and upgrading existing transmission systems from key state utilities.
The company's export momentum continues to grow, with new orders coming from a wide range of
global markets
, including LATAM, SAARC, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
