Vehicle weight limit announced for bridge in Town of Bath
BATH, N.Y. (WETM) — If people plan on traveling on the bridge that goes over Harrisburg Hollow Creek in the Town of Bath, the vehicle being driven must be no heavier than 20 tons, according to the Steuben County Department of Public Works (DPW).
Commissioner of the Steuben County DPW Eric Rose announced in a release on Tuesday, May 27, that the bridge located on Spaulding Drive over Harrisburg Hollow Creek in the Town of Bath has been officially designated with a weight restriction of no more than 20 tons. More specifically, the bridge sits between NY State Route 415 and Harrisburg Hollow Road.

The limit comes after the bridge was checked out for safety reasons, based on New York State Highway Law, Rose explained. People driving over the bridge are asked to follow the 20-ton weight limit that has been put up and use a different route if their vehicle exceeds said limit.
If people have questions about the weight limit or would like more information, Rose said people can contact the Steuben County DPW at (607)-664-2460.
