Los Angeles police investigate double homicide in Encino Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a welfare check at a White Oak Avenue residence in Encino on Monday, July 14, at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officers discovered a male and female couple with apparent gunshot wounds inside the home. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced both victims dead. The LAPD spokesman confirmed a homicide investigation is ongoing but could not verify the victims' identities. No suspects have been identified or arrests made in connection with the double murder investigation. On Thursday, a suspect tried to get into their house while possibly carrying a gun. The couple's neighbors said they called police after someone saw a person hopping the fence.
