Massive 90s game show set for reboot as Gordon Ramsay's production team work on new quiz inspired by series
GORDON RAMSAY is developing a new game show which could give us a 21st-century version of The Crystal Maze. Unfortunately the chef has no plans to shave his head to look like the original host Richard O'Brien. 2 Gordon's production house Studio Ramsay Global is in the very early stages of devising the group challenge show – so early, in fact, that it's not yet clear where the show would eventually air. But there would certainly be an appetite for a programme like The Crystal Maze, which became a cult classic when it was shown on Channel 4 from 1990 to 1995. There have been a couple of reboots, including a one-off celebrity edition hosted by Stephen Merchant, but nothing has quite conjured up the magic of the old show. If anyone can do it, surely Gordon can. The Sun revealed in March that Ramsey was set to launch a new baking show. Fans loved his sweary antics on shows such as The F-Word and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. In 2023, Gordon launched Next Level Chef on ITV, but it was axed after only one series. He was looking to have better luck across the pond as he revealed Next Level Baker to FOX. The new spin-off show would test bakers as they attempted to make festive holiday treats across the three levels on the set. One master of the craft would hope to take away the top prize and the crown. My husband Gordon Ramsay missed the birth of our first 4 kids, it's controversial but I didn't want the attention on him Gordon gushed over his new show as he said it takes him back to his roots as a chef. He said: "I'm delighted that Next Level Baker is coming to Fox later this year. "A holiday special, where passionate home cooks, more used to crafting treats for their family, will compete against social media creators; individuals who fill our feeds with photo ready creations, side by side with talented professional pastry chefs, impressing with Michelin starred perfection.' "My very first job was baking in Paris, and to me there is nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread." 2

‘Next Level Chef' Levels Up With 2-Season Renewal, ‘Next Level Baker' Holiday Spinoff
'Next Level Chef' hasn't even gotten out of the audition stage for Season 4, but Gordon Ramsay's wildest cooking competition yet is already getting second helpings. In fact, the Fox reality show was just renewed for not one, but two more seasons — in addition to a new holiday spinoff called 'Next Level Baker.' ''Next Level Chef' consistently raises the bar of culinary excellence as a high-stakes food competition fans love, an invaluable franchise for Fox and an increasingly popular global format,' Fox president Michael Thorn said in a Thursday statement. 'Extending the reach of this series with the new holiday competition 'Next Level Baker' once again exemplifies the strength of our incredible, long-standing collaborative partnership with Gordon, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.' 'I'm delighted that 'Next Level Baker' is coming to Fox later this year. A holiday special, where passionate home cooks, more used to crafting treats for their family, will compete against social media creators; individuals who fill our feeds with photo-ready creations, side-by-side with talented professional pastry chefs, impressing with Michelin-starred perfection,' Ramsay added. 'My very first job was baking in Paris, and to me there is nothing better than the smell of freshly baked bread. I'm hoping on these holiday specials we get to discover incredible family recipes handed down through generations of bakers, inventive bakers cleverly working with dietary sensitivities and those with a talent for stunning creativity and elevated design work. This holiday season I cannot wait to discover the baking heart of America.' All four seasons of the show have been judged by chefs Nyesha Arrington, Richard Blais and Ramsay. The 'Hell's Kitchen,' 'MasterChef' and 'Kitchen Nightmares' star also executive produces the series with fellow EP Matt Cahoon. The new seasons will be produced by BiggerStage and Studio Ramsay through Studio Ramsay Global. 'Next Level Chef' airs Thursdays on Fox before streaming on Hulu. TV chef Gino D'Acampo denies dozens of allegations of inappropriate behaviour
TV chef Gino D'Acampo has denied dozens of allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour on the sets of TV shows he has appeared on. D'Acampo actions were described as being "unacceptable", "distressing" and "horrendous", according to an ITV News investigation. Anonymous women who spoke to the news broadcaster also accused D'Acampo of aggressive behaviour and making highly sexualised remarks. In a statement to ITV News, D'Acampo has said he "firmly" denies the allegations and "would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone". He adds: "I am a father, husband... the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting." Sky News has contacted D'Acampo for comment. ITV also reported that bosses at Objective Media Group, the production company behind Gordon, Gino And Fred's Roadtrip in 2018, appear to have been aware of concerns about D'Acampo's behaviour. Objective Media Group said: "We have robust protocols and procedures in place for all cast and crew, including on-screen talent, that we review regularly whilst also ensuring that we take into account developments regarding industry wide 'Duty of Care' guidelines." The production company continued: "Across all productions we encourage people to raise any concerns at the earliest opportunity... If there are incidents or complaints reported, we implement our Escalation Procedure and ensure that a full and thorough process is followed in close collaboration with the broadcaster." Other production companies that have worked with D'Acampo have also issued statements following the allegations. Studio Ramsay said: "Whilst we do not disclose or discuss personnel matters publicly, Studio Ramsay is committed, in conjunction with our broadcast partners, to a safe and professional work environment. We take all allegations of inappropriate behaviour and workplace misconduct seriously, promptly investigate, and take appropriate remedial action when warranted." MultiStory Media said: "It would be inappropriate to go into the detail of individual concerns but we give our assurance that we are reviewing the concerns which have been raised, what was known at the time and what action was taken. We will also look at any new concerns that have come to light."
