ITV The Chase's Paul Sinha reveals shocking reason why he could be 'fired' from show

Paul Sinha, a professional quizzer on The Chase, has disclosed a key rule that could lead to him being 'fired' from the hit ITV quiz show if he deliberately disobeyed it. On Monday April 21, the 64-year-old chaser greeted four famous faces on the afternoon show to test their trivia skills. This week's celebrity contestants included Julia Goulding, Oz Clarke, Laura Hamilton, and Mr Motivator, who faced off against Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha in hopes of winning money for their chosen charities. Julia kicked things off by successfully securing £8,000 for the final chase. Oz Clarke stepped up next, contributing an additional £5,000 to the pot after a nail-biting head-to-head round. A Place In The Sun host Laura aimed to keep the momentum going, but the mother-of-two struggled to match her teammates' performance, Edinburgh Live reports. Despite only earning £3,000 in the cash-builder, the real estate presenter remained undeterred in her pursuit of the grand prize. In a bold move, Laura challenged Paul for a massive £75,000, ignoring his advice to avoid such a high stake. The television personality had a rocky start as Paul quickly narrowed their point difference within just two questions. During the intense round, host Bradley Walsh asked: "In what Ryan Gosling film does Noah write a letter to Allie every day for a year? A) Crazy, Stupid, Love, B) La La Land, or C) The Notebook?". Laura successfully answered 'C) The Notebook,' with the Sinnerman not far behind, also getting it right. This meant Laura had to ensure she got the rest of her answers correct to stay in the game. She then half-jokingly begged: "Can't you just get one wrong?" to which he sternly replied: "No, I'd lose my job if I deliberately got one wrong." Unfortunately for Laura, the stress proved too much and she was caught by The Chaser on her fourth question. However, Mr Motivator made a significant contribution by adding £4,000 to the team's pot during his cash-builder round, bringing their total to an impressive £17,000. In a heart-stopping final chase, the team managed 14 questions within two minutes, but were ultimately caught by Paul with 38 seconds left on the clock. Despite not securing the large prize fund, the three contestants generously opted to give £1,000 to their selected charities. Paul Sinha has been a regular face on The Chase since 2011 with the ITV show first launching in 2009. He was the fourth chaser to join the programme, after Shaun Wallace and Mark Labbett, who were the show's original Chasers from day one, followed by Anne Hegerty's arrival in 2010. Sinha is commonly referred to on the show by his on screen nicknames which include 'The Sinnerman', 'The Smiling Assassin' and 'Sarcasm in a Suit'.

The Chase's Paul Sinha says 'I'd lose my job' as he reveals major rule he can't break

The Chase's Paul Sinha, also known as The Sinnerman, has revealed that there is one major rule that he can't break on the ITV quiz show Paul Sinha, one of The Chase's stars, has disclosed a little-known major rule, and breaking it could result in his dismissal from the ITV quiz show. On Monday (April 21), the 64 year old host greeted four familiar faces on the afternoon programme to test their general knowledge. This week, Julia Goulding, Oz Clarke, Laura Hamilton, and Mr Motivator took on professional quizzer Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha in an effort to raise funds for their chosen charities. The group faced off against Paul, who certainly brought his A-game and got off to a great start with Julia successfully advancing to the final round with a remarkable £8,000. ‌ Oz was next at the podium, where he added another £5,000 to the prize fund after a tense head-to-head round. Hoping to follow suit was A Place In The Sun host Laura, but the mother-of-two had difficulty keeping up with her teammates. Despite only managing to accumulate a paltry £3,000 in the cash-builder round, the property expert didn't let that deter her from going for the big cash prize. Laura risked everything by going head-to-head with Paul for £75,000, despite the professional quizzer advising her against pursuing the staggering sum. The TV star had a tough start, with Paul closing the gap between them in just two questions. During the challenging head-to-head round, Bradley asked: "In what Ryan Gosling film does Noah write a letter to Allie every day for a year? A) Crazy, Stupid, Love, B) La La Land, or C) The Notebook?" Laura, who was in a tight race on The Chase, guessed C) The Notebook just as the Sinnerman did. With no room for error left, she pleaded, "Can't you just get one wrong?" His stark reply was: "No, I'd lose my job if I deliberately got one wrong." ‌ Unfortunately, Laura cracked under pressure and was caught on her fourth question. Yet, there was a glimmer of hope when Mr Motivator added a cool £4,000 to the pot, tallying the prize fund to £17,000. During a nail-biting final chase, the team put up a brave fight and answered 14 questions before Paul caught them with seconds to spare. Although they couldn't clinch the big sum, the team's spirit of generosity shone through as they decided to donate £1,000 to charity.
