It's never too early to prepare for the spooky season! On Aug 8, Sunway University took the lead with a special preview of 'Nights of Fright 11' (NOF11), bringing Malaysia's biggest
Halloween festival directly to its campus grounds.
The event – officiated by Sunway University president Sibrandes Poppema, Sunway Theme Parks executive director Calvin Ho, Sunway Theme Parks chief financial officer Kong Beng Kuin, and Lynton V Harris, founder and CEO of The Sudden Impact Entertainment Company – also marked a new chapter in student engagement by being a collaboration with Monash University.
Students and lecturers from both institutions were treated to an exclusive glimpse into this year's twisted experience, including themes, concept visuals, and the twisted narrative of the festival's latest villain.
Get ready to shudder, for the Puppeteer will transform Sunway Lagoon into a macabre realm of shadows, screams and sinister performances!
The students were also treated to the unveiling of a limited-time vending machine that dispenses NOF11's 'Blind Box'. Priced at RM78 each, each box holds a mystery item consisting of admission tickets, exclusive vouchers – or nothing at all.
Given the opportunity to get their hands on a mystery box at a super-low rate, many of them decided to risk a turn at the vending machine. As a bonus, the first 100 buyers from the machine were eligible for exclusive invites to the official NOF11 launch, scheduled to take place on Sept 25.
'Nights of Fright 11' will then officially kick off from Sept 26 to Nov 2 at Sunway Lagoon Theme Park, where visitors can expect no less than eight haunted houses, one haunted theatre, three scare zones, 11 thrill rides, and three live-show stages!

From the eerie glamour of Horrorwood, where cinematic nightmares come alive, to the dark legends of Karak – The Kampong Killers, each path will twist into unexpected terror.
Venture too far and you might find yourself trapped in tales of PontianAxe, a haunting theatre where stories are told in screams rather than words.
Guests are also invited to step into the Blind Box experience, where eerie encounters and unexpected creatures lurk around every corner!
And here's more good news: limited early-bird tickets are now available via Sunway Theme Parks Kedai Runcit vending machines at selected campus locations, as well as throughout Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.
They can also be purchased via the Sunway Super App, online travel agencies, and Sunway Lagoon's website.
