Kammattam: Here's when & where to watch Sudev Nair-starrer Malayalam web series
Recently, the popular OTT platform ZEE5 began offering its audience original web shows and films in regional languages. Following this, it has been confirmed that a Malayalam web series titled, Kammattam, will be streaming on the site as well as on OTTplay Premium soon. An intriguing two-wheeler at a construction site suggests an ulterior motive, and all the clues eventually point to an employee of Samuel. Antonio explores a harrowing network of secrets and deception that lie far beyond reality, revealing the central plot of the web series. In this web series, Sudev plays Antonio. 23 Feet Productions is funding Kammattam, which features the following ensemble cast- Jeo Baby, Ajay Vaasudev, Sreerekha, Akhil Kavalayoor, Arun Sol, and Jordy Poonjaa. Kammattam is by Shan Thulasidharan. It has been a unique experience to be a part of the first Malayalam web series on ZEE5, according to actor Sudev Nair. ‘Kammatam': ZEE5 announces maiden Malayalam original web series; release date out
Streaming platform ZEE5 on Thursday (August 7) announced its maiden Malayalam original web series, Kammatam, a suspense crime investigation starring Sudev Nair in the lead. The platform unveiled a first-look motion poster to announce the news. Directed by Shan Thulasidharan, the six-episode series is based on a real-life incident that shook Thrissur and the state of Kerala. 'When planter Samuel Umman dies in a suspected road accident, Circle Inspector Antonio George senses something is off, especially when he notices a missing necklace at the scene. His investigation leads to Shaji, an auto driver with a criminal past, who is soon found dead in a quarry. A mysterious two-wheeler at a construction site points to deeper involvement, and all clues slowly circle back to Francis, a quiet worker from Samuel's plantation. As Antonio digs deeper, what unravels is a chilling web of deceit, silence, and secrets buried far beneath the surface,' reads the logline.
