Even the doctor cried when she gave her piggy bank to save her dad. Sort of miracle happened 3 months later
Sometimes a little girl's steadfast devotion and unconditional love can work wonders. A neurologist from Hyderabad recently shared a story of a miraculous recovery of a man who had suffered a bad stroke. In his X post, Dr. Sudhir Kumar wrote about a little girl named Pari, who gave up her piggy bank, containing all of her savings, to restore her father to health. Her father, who once played antakshari with her enthusiastically, now lay on the hospital bed, paralysed from a stroke. Recalling the little girl's heartbreaking enthusiasm to save her father's life, the doctor recalled, "She opened her school bag and pulled out her most precious possession — a slightly cracked piggy bank, its pink paint faded with time. I have saved a lot of coins in this,' she said, her voice brave and steady despite the tears. You can use all of them to make Papa speak again." — hyderabaddoctor (@hyderabaddoctor) The Healing Power of Music Pari's father was enrolled in a comprehensive rehabilitation program. Alongside medicine and speech therapy, the doctors introduced Melodic Intonation Therapy (MIT) — a technique that uses the musical abilities of the brain to restore language. Old Hindi melodies filled his hospital room. Kishore Kumar's songs, his favorites, became his medicine. At first, there were only faint hums. Then, slowly, broken words emerged. He couldn't converse yet, but he could sing. And every time Pari looked sad, he would hum softly, 'Rona kabhi nahi rona, chahe toot jaye khilona.' It wasn't fluent speech, but it was love made audible. Love Walks Again For three months, Pari visited the hospital faithfully, books in hand and hope in her heart. She would sit beside her father and whisper, 'Remember antakshari, Papa?' He would nod, hum, and sometimes even manage a few words. One day, Pari walked into the outpatient department, her father beside her, standing tall and steady. When they reached the doctor, he looked at his daughter and, with clear words and a warm smile, said, 'Pari, let's play antakshari.' This goes on to prove that sometimes, a daughter's unconditional love can be enough to bring the parent back from the brink of death. Dr. Sudhir Kumar is a renowned neurologist. He works with Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad.

Teacher shortage threatens recognition of 109 Uttar Pradesh schools
The recognition of 109 schools in Uttar Pradesh being run by the state social welfare department, is now at risk. Despite running for several years, these schools have been managed by only one teacher, even when the student numbers remain high. Under such conditions, the schools are failing to meet the norms of state basic education, concede officials. These schools have already been served two notices from the state government level. Now after the third notice, if recruitment of new teachers or adjustment through the merger of students is not carried out as required, their recognition can be revoked. The highest number of such schools, with 14 currently operating under these conditions in Prayagraj, said officials. Confirming the development, Sudhir Kumar , deputy director (Social Welfare), Prayagraj said that schools with only one teacher, where recruitment has not been made against the sanctioned posts, have been given the option of adjustment. He added that if these institutions do not comply, a recommendation will be made to cancel their recognition. The social welfare department in Uttar Pradesh runs approximately 485 schools, primarily for the benefit of students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories. Recognised by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, these schools—some of which offer residential facilities—are dedicated to providing free education and support to underprivileged children. Matter discussed in recent meeting Officials share that recently, the director (Social Welfare) had held a meeting with all the deputy directors and district social welfare officers of the state, in which he specifically enquired about the status of schools running with single teachers. Officials informed that management committees/controllers of these schools have been served two notices earlier in which they were told to either recruit teachers or else students be admitted to nearest basic education council school and teachers be also adjusted in other schools as part of an adjustment exercise, but these schools did not agree to either option. Officials stated that the social welfare director has instructed that three notices be issued to such schools across the state, urging them to take appropriate action. If the institutions fail to comply, a recommendation should then be sent to the state government to revoke their recognition. Order issued Kumar Prashant, director (social welfare), has issued a directive dated May 6, instructing the concerned district social welfare officers in 29 districts to serve three notices to such schools and take further necessary action accordingly. These districts include Saharanpur, Meerut, Bareilly, Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Banda, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Balia, Gorakhpur, Basti, Azamgarh, Deoria, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Khiri, Pratapgarh, Firozabad, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Chandauli, Hathras, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot and Hapur. The missive, a copy of which is with HT, also contains the list of all such 109 schools along with details of their sanctioned posts of teachers and working teachers including trained and untrained. As per the officials, there are four schools in the state where there is not even a single trained or regular teacher. Here work is going on with the help of Shiksha Mitras. This includes a primary school in Gauspur Ghuri at Azamgarh, another in Bhikhampur at Deoria, besides one in Mohkampurva and another Hemankheda at Hardoi. No recruitment of new teachers Officials say that the school managements of these institutions must advertise the vacant posts for recruitment of teachers, however no advertisements are being given by these schools. In many cases, as soon as the advertisement is released, the matter gets challenged in court on one or the other grounds. To avoid this, the school managements do not issue any recruitment notice.

How Does a Wi-Fi Router Affect Your Health While You Sleep? - Jordan News
The Hindustan Times published a report addressing the ongoing debate on social media regarding the health impact of Wi-Fi signals—particularly at night—and whether turning off the router before bed offers any tangible health benefits. اضافة اعلان The report clarifies that Wi-Fi routers emit non-ionizing radiation at low frequencies (2.4 or 5 GHz), which are considered safe by established scientific standards. To date, no conclusive evidence has shown that such exposure causes significant physiological changes in the human body within normal daily levels. Dr. Hiran Reddy, a consultant in internal medicine and critical care at Gleneagles Hospital in Hyderabad, stated that most people would not notice any physical difference if they turn off their router at night. However, some individuals who consider themselves electromagnetically sensitive might report improvements in symptoms such as headaches or sleep disturbances—even though scientific proof for this phenomenon remains lacking. Dr. Sudhir Kumar, a neurology consultant at Apollo Hospitals, emphasized that current research does not indicate a direct effect of router emissions on melatonin production, the hormone responsible for regulating sleep. He pointed out that blue light from screens is far more disruptive to sleep patterns than any radiation emitted by routers. Ultimately, the report concludes that turning off your Wi-Fi router at night is unlikely to directly impact your health, but it might indirectly improve sleep quality by encouraging less use of electronic devices at night—a habit that can have positive effects on overall sleep and well-being.
